    Tricky, but I Figured it OutRight out of the box, this thing is very confusing. Instructions are included, but something's been "lost in translation" so to speak. I downloaded the app is suggests, but it asks for about a billion permissions, though it also seems to offer a lot of function in trade; damned if I know what they are, exactly, because the descriptions are equally broken as the instructions. It's all beside the point as it wouldn't connect.I did eventually find it and pair with it over Bluetooth, and then downloaded the iTagOne app, which immediately found it as well as my neighbor's tile. If he ever borrows something and doesn't bring it back, I'll find some way to make that useful. Once connected, everything worked great.Side note, it might help some of you out there to know that holding the button 3-5 seconds turns it on and off, and it appears to be necessary to pair the device itself manually in your Bluetooth settings before connecting via app3Dead batteriesArrived with DEAD BATTERIES!1Tracker inconsistently communicates and takes over your phone.Bought at 5 Below yesterday. Was able to download app on iPhone 6 and phone and tracker found each other after some trial and error. It wasn t effectively locating one or the other though consistently while testing it out. Decided to work on figuring it out in the morning and research online. Tried to use my phone flashlight to find my way to the bathroom in the middle of the night and the tracker starts beeping in the kitchen. Tried to shut it off and then the phone starts tweeting like a bunch of birds. Finally get both devices to stop and I tried to check my email and the whole process starts all over again. The tracker won t stop and my phone won t stop . The tracker freaks out if I open any other app on my phone and my phone freaks out tweeting like a bird. I can see how I could never lose one or the other. I can t put either down for more than a minute. Finally deleted the app and took the battery out. You get what you pay for.1Recommended software is poor, battery dead on arrivalTo start, the "Traxx it" software is ridiculous, it can't seem to remember the trackers after restart and needs too many permissions. Download the iTracing2 software from the Play Store instead. Regarding the tracker itself, I bought 2 and one arrived with a dead battery while the other one seems to work alright once you have the better app installed. The device is not weather sealed so you'd want to make sure it doesn't get wet. You could probably wrap tape around the edges if you need to have it exposed to the elements. Speaking of that, you'll probably want to mount the tracker on the outside due to the relatively weak alarm. It's useful for finding something in a home or apartment but may not work in a busy public space. I ordered some new CR2032 batteries and I'll give them a try. I paid 8.99 a piece for them so it's not too big a loss if they aren't reliable over time.2NoI was a sucker and purchased 3 of these from publishers clearing house one night during a bout of insomnia. They finally came today, and are now in the trash can. The directions say download the app and follow set up directions. Well, the picture of the product in the app is different from actual product. Mine looked like what is shown here. FYI if you need to turn on device because you buy this, hold the triangle and press down hard on the middle for 3 seconds to turn on. I took one apart to figure this out and it never did work after putting it back together. I had 2 left and managed to turn them on and link to my phone app. I put my keys on the kitchen table and went about my day. Keys sat there for several hours until I decided to call my mother in law. The app icon was not on my homepage yet, so I did not accidentally touch it. For whatever reason, both keys decided they were lost and began beeping and my phone started to make a beeping/siren sound. I tried manually turning off the tags without luck. I went into my phone apps and found the app. It was saying "anti lost" alert. I tried turning the alerts off, but they kept popping back on. So I uninstalled the app to make it stop and tossed the tags in the trash. Maybe you have to move your keys so they don't think they are lost, but they would not stop beeping. Glad I was not sleeping. I just wanted something to beep when I wanted to locate my keys because most of the time they are hiding in my bag. This is not a good solution. Also, I think this app tracks me. I don't want that either. Just beep beep here I am would be nice.
