Perfect for a roof basketI bought this for the mount itself not the connector and its perfect for clamping to a roof basket. I used a better connector that I already had. 5Strong, and perfect fit!Great strong piece, with all hardware needed to install. I flipped it around and mounted to my toolbox on the bed of my truck. Drilled holes and this piece holds my 5 ft firestik II perfectly. No problems or any signs of rust appearing after a month or two installed (and it s been slightly wet out). Gives good ground for my antenna! 5Good mount, crappy studThe mount itself is great. It's currently mounted to the bulkhead of my truck, and I might move it to the side of my toolbox. However, the stud itself was bad. It was making my SWR at a constant 3.3 despite changing antenna length, brand, cables, and ground, which I verified good with a volt meter. Overall, happy with the mount, angry with the stud it comes with. 4Good product. No instructions. Hard to isolate.This mount does what it is supposed to do. I did not come with instructions, so if you have not installed one before it may be confusing as to how to stack the pieces. I wish there was a more substantial insulator, as the small rubber piece makes it difficult to avoid touching the antenna to ground. 3The SO-239 to stud adapter is of good quality, but I drilled out that hole slightly ...This thing is battleship quality. Stainless hardware on aluminum. Very, very thick aluminum. If you're worried about sturdiness, don't be. The SO-239 to stud adapter is of good quality, but I drilled out that hole slightly and installed a MFJ-341S for use with my Yaesu ATAS-100, which fits on top of it beautifully. Again, no worries at all about bending, even with that load. It could support a tarheel, no question. 5Incomplete - buyer bewareThis came disassembled - not a problem, you screw the SO-239 into the 3/8-24 mount, voila. What made this useless was the missing non-conductive washer; as it stands, there is no ground plane - it's all radiator, including whatever I mount it to. Not impressed - this should have been a 5-star product; however, as it came incomplete, I can't give it any more than a 1. 1Jeep TJWorked well for me on a 2000 Jeep tj. I got a new rear bumper and tire carrier so I took the back plate off of this cb mount and drilled a hole in the middle. Then used a pre existing hole on my tailgate and used a bolt and washer to secure it. Mount Moves a tad but nothing to worry about. Does the trick and a cheaper alternative. 5This product ruined my coaxOn my unit, the SO-239 receptacle for the pin on the PL-259 connector on my coax was too tight. I was barely able to connect my coax. And when I tried to unplug my coax, the pin on the PL-259 connector was held so tight that this product pulled the pin out of the PL-259 connector ruining my coax. I compared the fit with other PL-259 connectors and it as also too tight. I even compared the fit to an uninstalled PL-259 crimp-on connector from DX Engineering (so no deformation of the pin from solder or other factors) and it was too tight. Coax ruined. 1Workman RV1It s a mount. It s simple. When a mount doesn t work, it s sad. This mount works. Unlike some others, this mount adjusts to clamp to horizontal or vertical tubes, and it s got some heft to it. My only concern is how it would hold up in poor weather I have no idea, but it s irrelevant for my application. Stainless replacement bolts/nuts are cheap, though. 5Just What I NeededThis connector was just what I needed for portable station operation. It is well designed and well made.I am very happy with this antenna mount and would recommend highly. 5
