    If you have to pull many staples, you will love this tool!At first glance this tool seems like a contrivance when a small screwdriver will seemingly do the same job. However, the rounded edge and shape of the tip makes it much better than a screwdriver for pulling out staples. The rectangular plate allows you to lever the staple out which doesn't happen with a small tipped screwdriver.5Great design and qualityI manage a couple of very high end custom furniture stores and am very picky about my tools. I absolutely love the design of this one! With the flat bottom and the pivoting head, I don t have to worry about damaging the upholstery while prying up the staple. Plus it works really well on packaging staples. The only thing I would have liked to seen different is the actual pry head. If it was a little sharper it would be easier to get under the staples. Of course then it would not be as robust.4So worth the money! Removes upholstery staples like magic! Loved it! OMG, this tool made a previously painful process--removing large furniture staples holding the fabric on the seat of my dining room chairs--so fast and easy! The upholsterer gave me a deep discount on recovering the seats if I removed the old fabric as that was the most time-consuming part of the job for him. I attempted to do it using ordinary tools and it was taking forEVER plus frustratibg me no end, so i looked on Amazon for a staple remover. I chose this one from the description of its use, it came within 2 days and the rest was like magic. It has a sort of lever on it so when the point gets under the staple, you push down and the staple pops up. 5Not very sturdy. It works as intended - for a bit. The metal is so soft that it began to bend halfway through the first (of 7) chairs I was working on. At this point, I work for five minutes and then have to hammer it back into shape. I ll be curious to see how many more time I can do that before it snaps! 2This is by far the best tool I have triedI do a lot of upholstery work and used every kind of stable remover. This is by far the best tool I have tried. It removes most staples with minimal effort and without damaging the wood. The best part is that the tool does not slip like a traditional remover or a flat-head screwdriver so you can avoid injuries to your fingers and hands.5Don t buyThis is horrible and I wish I would have listened to other reviewers. I've tried all the recommendations: pliers, diagonal cutters, screwdriver, etc. None of those worked. I came across this on accident on Amazon and figured out was at least worth a shot for the low price. Honestly I was starting to believe I was going to have to play someone to remove the staples but this little guy took care of the problem. I was able to remove all but a few heavily rusted staples from the hardwood. It also worked great when an armrest on my office chair ripped open and I had to remove the padding to replace it. Bonus.5
