Won't stick! I have tried several times to get this to stick in my car. It wouldn't even stay stuck on the dash the first time, so I had to use the backup adhesive pad to finally get it stuck. However, the first time I used my phone on it, it stuck fine while driving... but then came off with my phone! I'm not able to get it to stick anymore (the weight of my iPhone pulls it off now) so it's worthless. :( I guess I will have to get a clip-on one that attaches to the air vent so it will have a better grip. 1Holds my phone very securely, doesn't affect compass for me Since I use my phone for navigation and geocaching, I was worried that the strong magnet in this product would permanently damage my phone's internal compass. While the compass obviously doesn't work while the phone is being held in the mount and it can seem to be off once removed, the compass has always gone back to working correctly after being re-calibrated. The mount also holds my phone very securely and I have no worry of it falling off, even going over things like speed bumps. The ease of putting the phone against the mount and it just sticking is really great. 5Great Device, Better Price! I absolutely loved the device from WizGear! It allows me to attach my iPhone 7 plus to the dashboard of my car. Now this was ideal for my situation as I plug my iPhone into my stereo to enable Apple Play. I initially used a phone holder that went into my cup holder. I hated it. Although it worked, it took up too much space. I was also worried about drilling holes and destroying my car for a phone holder. The magnet enabled WizGear device works very well. Gave me the option to stick the magnet anywhere in my car and I didn't have to stick it to my phone. I just let it lay between the phone and my case. I was very skeptical thinking the magnet would not be strong enough when I had a case over the phone but I was wrong. It's absolutely perfect! 5Great magnet. The sticky tape sucks. Great magnet. The glue holding it to the dash, however... not so good. Heat from parking in the sun melts the adhesive and it falls off. Replacement sticky pads did the same thing. 3This is a great product at a very affordable price This is a great product at a very affordable price. The only problem I had with it is that it was hard to find a flat spot to attach the magnet, so I may end up getting a holder that goes into the vent instead. Either way, we will be able to use this one in my boyfriend's truck with no problem. I highly recommend the seller and the product in general. I am always seeing people driving around using their phones and not paying attention, and this is so easy and handy that it doesn't make sense not to use one! The seller was great and sent the product very quickly. When it arrived, I actually thought it was another product I had ordered before this one! Everything was new and in great condition. I am considering buying some of these for friends and family, and would definitely come back to WizGear to buy. 4Great Idea but... most auto dashes I have ever seen have textured surfaces. No totally smooth surface that will allow this to stay mounted even with nothing attached to it. I could put it on the center console between the seats but not handy at all. Perhaps a better adhesive? Ordered the vent clip model instead. 3WizGear is great ! I really love the WizGear phone holder. I use it in many places. We have a motor home and things can sometime slide around. While on the road I have 2 places where I can view my phone with the time and it is always handy for phone calls or mapping information. I am considering one for my home , near where I charge my tablet & phone. I also use one in my regular car all the time now. It is so much better than searching in my purse when needed. I purchased one for my husband , he likes it so much better than digging in his pocket for his phone . I also purchased 3 for my kids for Christmas. They are gonna love it. I will go to your web site to see other products that you have. 5PASS and find another brand The magnet is quite weak and allowed my phone to fall off quite a few times. Unless your phone is light as a feather, choose another type of magnet. 1Sticky but not sticky enough I wish that the sticky pad used was stickier. In our CA sun, it doesn t stay on my dash. I bought 3.... all 3 fell off the dash and I followed the directions to not use the button for 30 minutes after installation. 2Dual Review for the WizGear and Nekteck This is a dual review comparing the WizGear magnet mount and the Nekteck magnet mount.WizGear -Product comes with the magnet mount and adhesive on the back, a circle metal mount and rectangle metal mount, both with adhesive on the back as well. Also comes with a wet/dry wipe to clean the surface before you apply the adhesive magnet mount.Nekteck -Product comes with the same materials as mentioned in the WizGear.Comparison -The Nekteck adhesive on the magnet mount covers the whole mount, while the WizGear covers quite a bit less. (As you can see in the pictures)Both Nekteck and WizGear magnet mounts are practically identical in Depth and Diameter. The adhesive in the Nekteck "seemed" more sticky than the WizGear's adhesive. (Although I can't say for sure and did not do any scientific test or anything. This was just my observation as i pulled off the cover from the adhesive.)Both Nekteck and WizGear metal mounts are pretty much the same in size and adhesive.I used 1 Nekteck and 1 WizGear to mount my tablet with the rectangle plates. So if one fails that should give a bit more insight on which one works better. However for now, I recommend either product. Both are low profile and seem good quality. Although I will be ordering the Nekteck again and not the WizGear because of the Adhesive covering the whole magnet on the Nekteck. I will update my review if one of the mounts fail.Also its also worth noting that both these magnets are STRONG. I'm more worried about the adhesive coming loose than the magnet not being strong enough to hold the phone or tablet. 5
