Fantastic customer experience I had a great customer experience from Tough Outdoors. Using the recommended measuring technique, my hand measures 8.25 in. so I bought the medium. They fit snug, but not uncomfortable. Many might say 'like a glove'. But for me, skiing temps are unpredictable so I like to have room for a glove liner, just in case. I contacted Tough Outdoors and they took care of me quickly, rushing out a size large. I just had an epic day skiiing, yes in April, and the gloves worked great. I really like the wrist strap since I'm always messing with something on the chair lift. The temps were in the mid 20's and my fingers were plenty warm. These gloves are a great value. 5More like water resistant Works well for motorcycling in the winter. No completely waterproof. More like water resistant. But still does a pretty good job riding a motorcycle below freezing temps. 5Great Snow Shoveling Gloves! I did not buy these as all purpose everyday gloves, but as gloves to provide my old hands protection from the extreme elements when shoveling snow for extended periods. As I have gotten older my tolerance for bitter cold and wet has become nonexistent.These gloves protect my hands! That said, they are not driving gloves, or for running a chain saw, or splitting wood, or for any other uses where bulky gloves would be a hindrance. For me, they are basically designated as my snow shoveling gloves, and they are great for that. 5Awesome Winter Snow Gloves These are the best winter gloves I have ever bought. They fit perfect (men's large) and are warm and soft. They have a lot of cool features such as wrist loops, wrist straps (seen in the photo), together clips, and a gather drawstring at the back of the gloves to ensure that no snow can get inside. best of all they are water proof. I highly recommend these gloves for any kind of snow sport from general sledding to snowboarding. you won't be disappointed. 5(Atlanta) funny eh? I owned some Hotfingers and they somehow ... I went on a whim and ordered this the day before brutal cold endured my city, (Atlanta) funny eh? I owned some Hotfingers and they somehow got stolen or lost, who knows. 1 day shipping on these bad boys and received them today and let me tell you they are way better 10-15$ cheaper as well! I work at the airport and the temp always seems much colder cause of the winds that pierce through the concourses. These gloves handle well in 15-20 degree range just fine and are for sure waterproof, ( tested them out in the sink on arrival ). My hand width is a size 8.1ish and I ordered the Medium and fit like a glove, haha. GET THESE! I might order another pair just to have in case these magically disappear. 5Good but not great If you live in Wisconsin or anywhere in the upper midwest then you know that winters can be a no joke season.I went for these gloves more out of an impression than facts. I saw mostly 5 star reviews and when you factor in the stock photos of people snowboarding and climbing snow tipped mountains it lulled me into a sense of "oh, this must be it" gloves I'm looking for.It snowed 9 inches in my area and so I put them on to go snow plowing my driveway. Yes, they are waterproof. But they're not that exceptional when it comes to thermal retention. And to show that this is not some spurious conclusion I came to in a huff, I, for added precaution, wore under these said gloves a pair of touch screen sensitive winter gloves. The temp outdoors was 17 degrees Fahrenheit. After about 5 minutes I could feel my fingers begin to numb. More so at the tips. So, imagine what it would've been like without that extra insular gloves worn underneath.They are not the worst gloves I've ever worn. But they certainly are not the best either. The search continues....Hope this review helped. 3Excellent winter gloves These ski gloves were purchasd and field tested in South Texas Winter. The current temp is 35 degrees with a wind chill factor below freezing temperatures (32). The gloves fit are as advertised and the fit was snug but very comfortable. After 15 minutes exposure my fingers still felt warm with no air penatration. The gloves were removed and hands were allowed to chill in the freezing weather. Ater 10 minutes of exposure, the gloves were put back on, after several minutes my hands and fingers began to warm. This procedure was conducted several times with same result. These gloves have very good insulation and did as advertised. I would recommend these gloves in freezing temperatures. I recieved no discount for this review.. 5Excellent quality I had previously bought nearly identical gloves from the same company and liked them so much, I thought I would try these since they were about 5 bucks cheaper for the same main features. The only difference I can detect is these gloves are all black and the others have a bit of gray trim. I really like the features and fit. Nice and toasty. If there is anything to say about these gloves compared to the other, more expensive gloves, it is that the fit is not as precise as the more expensive version, but very, very slight. Nothing to get in a twist over. The price break is worth it although I enjoy these gloves equally. When I find something I really like, I usually get a back-up/spare. These gloves are no exception! 5Warm and well made. Fits as expected. Just received these several days ago. Oh my, it's snowing and the WIND CHILL was -4 degrees and the wind was blowing at 9- 14 mph. These gloves had the situation covered. My hands were warm and when I had to pull them off to change a spark plug on the atv plow machine, The Liner Didn't Come OUT!!!! Spent 2 plus hours outside, my hands were warm the whole time. Not hot just warm. Too bad these guyz don't make hunting gloves. These are not work gloves. Did not use them when I was splitting wood later. It was a relief to put these back on as I was driving the tractor back to the barn. Love the wrist straps, when I had to pull them off to open the door locks I didn't drop the gloves in the snow. Just bought a backup pair. Going to use these hand warmers cross country skiing this weekend, chasing coyotes. 5I did my research (but it's too confusing with so many polarizing reviews) I did my research and there is not an easy choice... I went with this because they apparently are water proof ( I haven't try submerging them but I believe it). But they are not worm enough. ...( for Chicago area) . I got the correct size for me but it seems to be a "plastic" membrane inside (for water proof) that slides inside of the glove when you try to grab things.... Even with that I was gonna be fine but NOT WORM AT ALL. I already remove all the tags so I guess I gonna keep them but ... Today I will go to Duluth Trading and get a nice pair of socks and gloves... The people at Duluth, knows what cold is... so I hope the have the right product. Don't do my mistake and go to a store where they have climbing, hunting, or cold weather stuff ... the reviews on Amazon are starting to be too contradictories for some of this products. I'm usually happy with what I buy here at Amazon but ... not with this.Hopes this help somebody. Stay warm! :) 2
