    This product is easy to useThis product is easy to use. I use them for sideways sliding windows when I want to leave a window open for air, but want to ensure complete security. I use it as secondary security in addition to the window's pop-up catch/lock feature for leaving the window open just a crack.I am very confident using this. The adjustable locking twist works perfectly. 5Waste of MoneyThe 2 pieces are held together by a thin piece of plastic and came apart when trying to extend to fit into windows. Once extended, the pieces were difficult to lock into place. Once getting the piece locked into place, with force the 'security bar' did not prevent the window from opening. The 'security bar' is cheaply made. We should of read the reviews prior to ordering. It was money wasted because the cost of shipping it back to seller was almost the cost for the product. We were very disgusted with product. 1Useless trashI would give this item zero stars if I could. This bar literally does now withstand any pressure on the window before it slides open. You d be better off with no lock than this shower curtain rod piece of junk. This bar couldn t withstand the weight of 1 finger attempting to pull the window open. Also the rubber caps on the end leave white smudges on anything they touch. Barely used mine a day before I threw it to the side. Trash. 1Simple & EffectiveMoved MIL from her home with security sensors on windows to Assisted Living. She was nervous about someone breaking in thru get windows. We installed one on each window, to the side, and she's pleased & feels secure. 5no problems at allWorks great and cheaper than expanding security system. My security system works great but I wanted added protection for bedroom windows as we have had break ins in our neighborhood. This went in easy as it looks and locked into place. No concerns now 5Worthless. Don't bother.This thing is garbage. Way too small. Won't hold anything closed. It's a curtain rod disguised as a window bar. Worst, you have to pay for return shipping in order to get a refund on this worthless item. After getting nowhere on a return I trashed this thing. 1Zero starsItem was defective, and appears to be built defective. This extensible bar will not tighten to desired length (think extensible shower curtain). The smaller circumference tube just spins inside the larger one, making the bar only effective at one (short) length. Ridiculous. 1I can't tell if my product is defective/broken or just ...I can't tell if my product is defective/broken or just not as advertised. There are only two sections to each bar, not three as the product photo suggests. There's nothing to keep the bars from moving, so unless you are trying to block an opening the length of one of the bars, there is no way to keep the bars extended or otherwise adjusted to various lengths. I'm struggling to figure out why this product exists. 116.5" - 30" window security barEasy to install and easy to remove. Simple twist to adjust and tighten. It is very sturdy on an old window I use it on. Had no issue with the bar at all. I ordered it on the 6th and received it on the 9th. 5DisappointedThis did not work for us. Did not withstand our dog's desire to bust out of the house. Maybe that is too hard a test for this bar, but that was our purpose, and it failed. What did work, and what I highly recommend are the security locks that clamp down, and you turn and lock them. We have been very happy with these purchased on Amazon: Defender Security U 9809 Sliding Window Lock 2
