Worked for awhile. Now, nothing.I am making a portable bluetooth speaker system for car shows and the like. This unit worked a few times. Eventually the Bluetooth had a tough time connecting. Now, nothing works at all. Changed power sources. Still nothing. Since I already drilled a whole for the control face in the case, I am ordering another of the same unit. If this one doesn't work for long either, I'll have to scrap the entire project.1... on this amp and the only thang I don t like is how big the controller is I put this ...Well I had read most of the reviews on this amp and the only thang I don t like is how big the controller is I put this amp in my motorcycle and the hokey puke don t look that great on my handlebars other wise the amp sounded great I ve only had it in for about two hougers but we will se thanks sounded great5Simple Bluetooth system, Great bang for the buck.Lasted three years in near complete exposure to the elements in a 14ft John boat. Dozens of storms and a hurricane didn't phase this system.It died after I failed to secure the controller wires properly. They got cut then wet. New one is on its way. For the price, ive seen so many more expensive systems die in just 90 days with a little rain. (The amp was mounted under a console out of direct rain fall )4Pyle PLMRBT7B - Great Bang for Buck ratio!This amplifier works great if you're not trying to blow out any eardrums. For most people, this bluetooth amplifier will work great in a boat, golf cart, or any other place where a stereo isn't present. It is easy to connect, the functionality is great for what it does, and it is a cost effective solution when you want to add aftermarket audio.Personally, I used this amplifier to put together a small bluetooth 'cooler stereo' that could double as a portable guitar amplifier. For this, it works perfectly. Coupled with a small 8ah battery, and 4 cheap Pyle 6.5" Marine speakers, and you result in a good little portable bluetooth stereo that also doubles as a guitar amp. The bluetooth input, coupled with the 4 RCA inputs allows you to connect a microphone and a guitar plug easily, for traveling amplification.As others have noted in their reviews of this amplifier setup: It ships with the gain at 0, so you will not get very much audio out of it until you adjust the gain. Once the gain is turned up, the unit functions perfectly, and will attain volume levels that should be applicable to just about any purpose.[EDIT] 11/13/2015I have since used this amplifier to build two additional "Cooler Stereos" using 60 Qt Igloo Wheelie coolers, with 4 JBL 6x9 each. I have to say, the speakers make all the difference in the world when it comes to sound quality. Initially I thought the amp might be a little under powered for what it is, however after putting some good quality speakers on the amp, it really shines.It gets loud enough that you can't have a conversation anywhere near it at full volume, and a "comfortable" listening volume is probably somewhere around the half way point. Mileage may vary based on the quality and brand of speakers you have connected to it. It's definitely worth the money you pay for it, it does exactly what it says it will do.I've added pictures to show installation for the purpose I've used this amplifier for.Pros:Easy to installFeature set perfect for most applicationsCan be used as a stand alone unit, or in conjunction with an existing head unit that lacks bluetooth.Great project DIY kitCons:Unit shipped with gain at 0, people may mistakenly think the amplifier is broken upon receipt.Plastic Hex Nut used for mounting may come fused (mine did) and will require some brute strength to free it upVolume control on the panel is separate from device audio when connected to bluetooth. I was trying to use to to push two 8's and two 6.5's on my boat. i was concerned when i pulled it out of the box and saw how small it was. much smaller than it looks. not sure how they got a 1200 watt rating out of them, but it is much smaller and lighter 1200 watt amps i have seen. it isn't nearly as loud as I was expect. but still for the price I am sure it is good for most boat applications and as I mentioned nluetooth has worked well so far. just don't get it expecting a lot of power.i would say it is closer to 200-300 watts max which is good for most speakers. you also do not need a head deck with this. so it wont clutter up your boat. It is the Bluetooth unit and power unit for speakers all in one.3PriceDid not like the sound quality5
