Leaked and almost ruined my reader Purchased this to take on a cruise trip. I knew that we would go to the beach. Since it was just the two of us, I wanted something that I could put my reader in while I was wading in the water. It says that it is waterproof but it was not. I followed the directions and made sure that I closed all of the zippers carefully and folded over the flap to secure them. I did not even submerge it all the way in the water and it still leaked. Thank goodness that I looked down at it and got it out of the water or my reader could have been ruined. Just to be sure that I did not do something wrong, I even checked it a second time in the sink. I placed a paper towel in the pouch, carefully secured all of the zippers and submerged it in water. The paper towel got wet. I should have tested it when I first got it and before we left on our trip. I returned it for a refund. I would not trust purchasing another one from this company. 1Excellent product and great seller. I purchased 2 of these. I tested them and they are completely waterproof. The only reason I rated them as I did because one of them appears to have been stored folded in half and when I put my Kindle in it, it has a huge fold mark in the thick plastic and makes it very difficult to read part of the screen. I've tried to lay it on a hard surface and put a lot ow flat weight on it to make it go flat but that fold is there to stay.Update: Wow, this seller really does read reviews. I just got an email from them with an apology and a refund for the folded one. So I have changed my review to reflect the quality of the good one. It's a fantastic product and an excellent seller, to take the initiative to make things right without having to file a claim or making a fuss. 5Touch is touchy (see modification) Water proof but the touch is more frustrating than it's worth. Kindle 2018 reader font size keep popping up and randomly changing font size and page back or forward. Cannot figure out how to control the touch. It is water proof and easy to get Kindle in and out of. But due to not being able to touch is not useful to read while in the pool, the main reason I bought this.Modification to make this usable.Created cardboard frame. Plastic doesn't touch the screen and this works very well. See pictures. 4Get it I love this for my kindle paper white. I like to read in the bath tub and this made me feel safe about dropping it. I also take this for backpacking so that I don't get my kindle ruined if it rains. Really light and great for camping. I haven't had any tears or problems with the top like the other reviews said. This is a great product for the price you pay. I also like the color it makes it easy to find in my bag full of other things. would buy again. 5Pretty much perfect! It works! We just bought a hot tub spa and my plan is to go in each evening after dinner and read on my kindle till the stress of the day is gone. This little waterproof cover works fantastic on my Kindle Paperwhite. I can use every function i need perfectly. The only thing I had to learn was to put my Kindle in upside down so that when I slip the lanyard over my head and pick my Kindle up it is facing the right direction for reading. I am not immersing it under water but it is still getting a small splash from the bubbling action. In the event it does slip from my hands I want it to be easy to recover quickly thus the lanyard. This is perfection! yeah! 5Works well for kindle keyboard... Durable and keeps things dry. Update - July 2018 - after years of abuse and wondrous service in bath and lake, it finally sprang a leak - the weak point is at the top, where the black portion meets the rest of the sleeve. If you use the carry cord, it pulls and that juncture (on the back on mine) bears the brunt of the stress. It's also hidden from view, so I didn't see the progression. I only note this so other users can keep an eye out for that kind of wear... I still love this darn thing. It is an amazingly simple yet durable waterproofing solution and has put up with more abuse than I ever should've reasonably expected it to! For 10 bucks it is perfection. If you have an old Kindle keyboard, congratulations, with this bag you now have a very inexpensive waterproof kindle. This helped breath new life into an old friend and I can't recommend it highly enough. Heck, I just bought a second one.-- end update--It does what it says. I use it with my kindle keyboard in both the lake and bath and haven't had any problems so far. It's a bit of a pain putting it in or taking it out, but that's because of the double seal that ensures you can use it without worry... In other words, for a kindle, it's perfect.I can't attest to it's use with any for if touch screen device, but it is pliable enough to manage the kindle keyboards buttons and power switch, an impressive feat in itself.Using it to read while sitting in an inner tube, with full peace of mind is wonderful. 5Really works great Works great, as I discovered when I went to swat an aggressive bee while reading in the pool. I actually ended up flinging the kindle at the bee and it sunk to the 8 foot bottom. No water on the kindle. 5Loved this on my cruise Loved this on my cruise. Sat in the pool for hours reading. Just as responsive to my page turning. No leaking whatsoever. The only issue is that if it actually gets partially submerged, it changes pages. This happened often because people would come up and say "Is that really water proof?" And for dramatic flair, I would submerge it. The gasps were worth having to go back a few pages. One thing. I don't think it should be left laying out in direct sunlight. After it was, plastic seem soft enough for me to feel the need to conduct the water proof test. Stick a napkin in there and dive down in the pool squishing it at all angles. Napkin came back dry as a dessert. This isn't one of those "compensated for my fair review" bs reviews. Im just someone who loves the product. Oh! I did get an ear infection from floating in the pool for 4-5 hours. Can I blame that on this product? :-) 5Good fit on paperwhite Got this for my wife, who likes to read in the pool. She gave it a "dry" run (sorry) in the house, and reports that it's easy to read and operate through the plastic. 5Waterproof protection Does what it says: protects your tablet from water. Plastic view screen super responsive to touch, and love the triple ziplock feature -- feels like more insurance in protecting your tablet investment. It's a little big for my Kindle paperwhite -- it floats around in there and you can see the entire tablet through the clear plastic -- but hey, that's better than being too small! I bought it to read in the bath, and after a month or so of use, it's still going strong and my Kindle is still dry as a bone. Sometimes the plastic steams up from the warm water, but it doesn't affect the tablet at all--it's all on the outside. And MUCH better than dropping your book in the water!It looks, feels and smells like one of those inflatable pool floats we all played with as kids, but after a few uses, the smell goes away. It's heavy duty and maintains a watertight seal -- I'm happy! 5
