Customer Reviews

Great caps for your Nikon binosThese fit my Nikon Prostaff 7S 10x42's perfectly. Love my Nikons, but hate the cheesy lens and eyepiece caps that come with them. I'm not a big Vortex optics fan, but these caps are great. The Vortex eyepiece cap work good on Nikons too, by the way. 5Fits Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 10x 42mmI purchased these to replace the cheap (and lost) caps for my Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 10x 42mm binos. They fit great and seem like they are sturdy enough to stay on during hunting season. The rubber is thicker than the original, and seal just as well as the Bushnell's. 4They're OKThe price was decent. The description said this fits Vortex 42mm binoculars. I have a set of Vortex Diamondback 8x42 binoculars. These do not fit as well as the originals. The seemed pretty tight and I had to really force them on. If you need a replacement, t(en use these. If you can, don t lose your originals. I got lucky and found my originals, so I put the originals back on and removed these. 3Perfect fit for Nikon Prostaff 7s 8 42mm BinocularsPerfect fit for my Nikon Prostaff 7s 8 42mm binoculars. I swear these are made specifically for them!! Nice tight fit for the o-rings and snug fit for the lens caps, I cam hear them "suction" when I press them on. I'll update my review upon returning from safari as to how they hold up or if the bands tear/crack. Judging from the fit, even if they did, the len caps will stay put. 5These fit Nikon ProStaff 7S 10x30 binoculars, seem snug and sturdyBased on other reviews, I bought these as replacements for the nearly-useless objective lens caps that come with the otherwise excellent Nikon ProStaff 7S 10x30 binoculars. The Nikon covers theoretically attach to the neck strap, which tends to pull them off the objective lenses if you let the glasses hang from the strap... and they attach to the neck strap with an open slot that allows them to pop off the strap and get lost. Even if you don't connect them to the strap, the Nikon covers attach only loosely and have tabs that catch on cases and clothing, so that they fall off easily. The Vortex lens caps are much, much better; they actually work. The rubber mounting rings fit snugly and should not come off. The lenscaps themselves have to be gently stretched to fit over the objective lenses. It takes one or two tries to get used to stretching them on and pressing them down all the way, but then they won't come off until you want them to. They still pop off easily enough with a flick of the tab. I will update this review if they stretch out and get loose over time, but there is no sign of that yet. By the way, the one-piece Nikon eyepiece cover that comes with the binoculars is slightly clunky-looking but works fine. The neck strap can thread through it so it can't fall off and get lost, and it comes off the eyepieces easily when needed. So if you get the Nikon ProStaff, there is no need to look for replacement eyepiece covers. 5Works for Zeiss Terra EDsThese work great on my Zeiss Terra ED 10x42s. The Terras come with a perfect fitting cover, but it is not very robust and falls off with the slightest touch. I plan to use these in harsh environments such as the salty and sandy air along the coast. While these caps are not quite the quality of the OEM caps that come with some binoculars such as the Monarchs, I bump them up to 5 stars because they are so inexpensive. They are very secure yet can be pushed off with your pinkies while bringing the binos up to your eyes. Very nice. 5These fit very nicely. The tether section fits relatively tightlyI've been looking for replacements for my Bino lens covers. When I bought my Leupold 8X42 binos they came with simple non-tethered cups which soon disappeared. These fit very nicely. The tether section fits relatively tightly, and does not seem like it will come off without effort. The same can be said for the covers themsleves. These seem likely to stay with my binos for a long time. Very pleased. 5DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!Did not fit my Diamondback 10x42 binos so I have returned them. They were way to small. Then I call vortex and find out there lifetime warranty covers lost lens covers. Save your money and call vortex customer service and get these for FREE! 1Great quality and perfect fit for 10 x 42 Nikon ProStaff 7SThese Viper HD 42MM covers are exactly what Nikon should have provided on my new ProStaff 7S 10 x 42 binoculars. The thin garbage ones they included are just awful. They constantly fall off the neck lanyard and are frankly just annoying. What was Nikon thinking...ok we've made a great quality binocular here let's put the worst possible lens cover on them...okay sounds good go with that!! These are a massive upgrade and fit perfectly. They're made of a high quality, thick rubbery material and look like they belong on the binoculars. 5Fit Binoculars with Outside Dimension of 58-59 mmThis review is for "Vortex Optics Binocular Caps - Razor HD and Viper HD 50mm". These are a great product but didn't fit the 50 mm outside diameter ends of my Nikon Action EX 7x35 binoculars. If the ends (closest to your subject) of your binoculars have an outside diameter of 58-59mm, these caps should fit. The inside diameter of each cap is about 57 mm. I returned these and ordered the Vortex Razor HD 42mm caps and they fit the 50 mm ends of my binoculars perfectly. 5
