    I have two already and I am going to buy 2 more. I have 2 of these cameras, and day in and day out through all kinds of weather in the Pac Northwest these cameras work perfectly. I have had several other bullet cameras but they always seem to get misaligned after a big storm and I have had 2 previous bullet cameras fail on me. Not these guys, they dont fog up and have even been working with ice hanging off them. The IR is good for about 25-30 ft for any real detail I can see my car perfectly and the camera is mounted on a high second story deck above the car. 5A Bargain if looking for an add-on camera for a security system I needed another compact wide angle security camera for my 16 port Q-See system as I was expanding the cameras view around our house.I had already put one of these up and liked how well it was working so as a second camera on our front porch I put the second unit I just received so it shows, very clearly, anyone walking up the steps to the front door, and clear enough to be able to identify the person while monitoring via online.Both of these cameras turned out to be great values because you'd think for the price they might not be good quality, just good enough. So I was very pleasantly surprised with the first unit I got. The night view is very bright and actually with the original camera I put on the porch which does show people going up the steps and to the door, but is to far away to clearly see who the person is, and now the porch is very well lit in invisible to see on the at night porch light. The unit is extremely secure and when mounted it would be difficult to knock down and damage like the usual camera with base and stalk would be if you had a determined intruder. 5Actually this is is the best one that I have purchased and intend to get ... I have purchase a lot of camera/surveillance equipment, (Laview) from Amazon the first was just okay because two of the four cameras quit within the first two weeks and you cannot return just the two so I ate the cost. I had to buy two more cameras hence the reason for this latest one. Actually this is is the best one that I have purchased and intend to get three more eventually just like it. The resolution is great and the color is pretty near perfect. If you are in the market for a great camera to add to your system or just starting out this one is for you. 5Worked for a year then half-broke but otherwise it is decent for the price. The camera is of decent quality and has a decent image for the price both day and night. One unit suddenly went black about a year later. I reset power and it worked again for a day then went black again. If I power cycle it daily I get a day of video before it goes out again.For the price it is good enough as it's only one of several cameras I use. I have it a remote site where the temperature goes below zero in the winter. This is the only one that broke of several so it not endemic to the model as I see it.The night mode is decent as well but I have some other Sony CCD based ones that look much better however they cost 5x as much too. With 960H or even D1 recording, most of these cameras are good enough within 20ft or so. If you need long distance or super fine resolution, than more expensive cameras do make a difference especially if you have higher resolution recording. 4OK Being my first CCD I have now learned a few things about the camera that I thought I would pass along. I set this up at one end of my 3 car garage and the IR LED are actually so bright that the reflection from the wall on the far side 30+ft away whites pretty much everything out. As such I had to set it up pointing at an angle to wall rather than straight on. Next, the picture indicates the led glowing blue but in fact, they glow red in the dark and are about as bright as an alarm clock. Next, although I am using it inside, I would question the suitability for the outdoor rating especially in snowy conditions. On the back side of the ball that holds the camera, there are grates directly into the electronics (presumably to vent the heat) and that front edge of the camera has that gap which goes right to them. As for the picture, I would say it is just ok. Again at night if you are right in front of the camera, you will just be a white blob. During the day it is plain low def and I will probably just go to using HD web cams with the lights turned on by a motion sensor. 3Good wide angle camera, great for upgrading other system's included camera I've upgraded 2 of my Zmodo cameras to these because of the increased quality and wider viewing angle. These cameras show color much more true and are really wide. If you're upgrading from other cameras you may want to move them closer since they're so much wider. Overall, solid mount and easy adjustment. The LEDs do a good job if you have the camera pointed toward the ground. But, motion detecting flood lights do a much better job at showing detail at night as opposed to relying on the LEDs. I would consider buying more of these as I need upgrades. 5You don't get what you paid for. With this camera; you will not get what you paid for. You will, instead, receive the likes of four times more camera than what you have paid for in the purchase. Take the camera challenge and order one. As with any camera, it helps if you understand how to place the camera as well as the expectations of the view of your intent. All-in-all, I am more than satisfied with the purchase. However, usually, I do not touch a camera that is sub 500 lines but the video quality of this camera is more than I was expecting for a sub 500 line camera... I stand corrected. Be sure that you have an adequate power supply and keep direct light away from the lens. I think that I am going to be replacing all of the cameras in my business with these cameras. PLEASE USE GOOD CABLES - HIGHLY RECOMMEND RG6 COAX!!!!!! 5Great item, NO instructions..... I use this on the top front of my little RV for added/nighttime vision. It works extremely well. The range in the dark seems to be the advertised 50 ft. In fact, driving with high beam headlights, I get a better view through the camera and 7 in. TFT monitor than through the windshield! I have driven at 45 mph on the camera only with no additional lights (not recommended). The center part must be "popped out" to access the mounting points inside the housing. Be careful, or you may damage the housing and lose the tight fit. I put "Goop" on the joints once I had it adjusted. The reason for 4 stars is simply that it had no instructions..... I will update on longevity and durability later. Since installing a second unit as a rear view camera, I was reminded how important it is to keep the view of the light sensor (the little red item directly under the camera lens)so it has a wide open view of what you want to see. It is also imperative to keep ANYTHING from reflecting infrared light from the LED's back into the camera. Otherwise, in the dark, you will get a cloudy, blurred image. Installed properly these cameras are amazing.... 4Great daylight vision This camera gives an impressive daylight image and is easy to install and aim. There is a lot of room for improvement in the night vision and I was able to rig up something that did improve it but the manufacturer could have done it better for a very modest increase in the cost. The problem with the night vision is that the LEDs are so bright that they reflect off of any near object and cause overexposure of the entire image. To make the night vision better I constructed a paper filter with tiny holes in it to cover the circle of LEDs and thus lower their light output. Works great but I should not have had to do it! Some simple adjustable filter over the LEDs should be part of the camera in the first place. Of course if the camera is only imaging distant objects the filter is unnecessary, that's why the filter needs to be user adjustable. 4Not the same product I ordered before I ordered one of these a couple of months ago to replace one of my Zmodo cameras and it worked great. The camera had a metal housing and was solidly build. So I ordered another one and when it arrived I was a little disappointed because the housing was plastic and didn't seem as solid. The camera performed just as well at the first one but I would have liked both of them to be metal. So be aware you may not get the same product twice.4/29/13 - Update - The camera started having problems: going dark, colors reversed, looking washed out, etc. And then it just quit working altogether. Connections were fine and the other camera like this I purchased (the metal one) is under cover, so I am not sure if it completely weather proof. I hooked up an extra camera I had to make sure the connection was fine and there were no problems. So if you would like a camera that lasts less than a year, this is the one to buy! 4
