Customer Reviews

Did not receive it I received an empty envelope. Don't know if the product itself cut the paper envelope as the product is made of metal or someone took it out enroute. The last word is I did get an empty packet 1Works, with a bit of play Used two pairs to make a pull-out unit for kitchen cabinets. Product is made in China and markings and included instructions were in Chinese. I was looking for 10" sliders since kitchen wall cabinets are 12" deep and the inside depth is around 11". None f the local stores carry anything below 12" which is too big for me, so this was my only choice. Worked well except that they are a bit sloppy with noticeable play. Total load is about 20lbs on the four sliders. Will update later on how well they hold up. 4Good value for the money... Not sure what some of the reviewers got, when they said the product is flimpsy. The one I got looks solidly made, and the stopper is strong rubber. I hope it last with repeated use, but it looks like we will be able to put lots of mileage on it. One thing I would like to caution users on: these sliders have a weight rating. So putting heavier objects on them than what it is rated for will likely wear out the bearings sooner. If you receive the same one I got, and stick with the weight rating, I think it will last. 5VERY light duty I REALLY wanted a 15" drawer slide, but I should have saved my money and not purchased this kind because I couldn't use it for fear it would wear out or break. (Reputable brands make 14" and 16" drawer slides, but not 15".) In the end, I bought 16" drawer slides made by a good company and cut the back ends off to make them fit. These 15" drawer slides cost almost twice what I paid for the 16" ones. The metal in these 15" drawer slides is about half as thick as the metal in a reputable brand. (One of these drawer slides weighs 9.94oz which comes out to .66oz per inch. The good 16" drawer slide weighs 17.67oz which comes out to 1.10oz per inch.) The slide mechanism works but is a little rough, even without being put under load. I learned the hard way but you don't have to. 1Nice !! Very well made product. Slides smoothly. I made a spice rack for one of the shelves in my kitchen cabinet using these drawer slides. Now instead of removing all the spices to find the one that I want, which will always be at the rear of the cabinet, I just simply pull the rack out and there they all are. 5... spent an extra $10 per pair to get the better self closing drawers available The slides are 'ok' but i wish i would of spent an extra $10 per pair to get the better self closing drawers available. Pulling the drawers out is kinda tight at first because of the soft closing mechanism. ive just worked with better ones, which of course cost more, so i think next time ill stick with the more expensive options. 3Great drawer slides I purchases 5 sets to use in a closet remodel; using for sock, etc drawers. This is a quality, full extension drawer slide; I would highly recommend. The slides are smooth and sturdy. They use standard "flip tabs" to remove the drawer after installation. They worked perfectly for my application; they're more than strong enough to put any amount of weight the drawer could ever hold.I would suggest that some of the complaints I read are more installer issues; building drawers and installing correctly does take a little practice. Some install hints if you've not done this before:-If you don't get full extension, then more than likely you didn't install the slide all the way to the front of the opening -or you simply bought the wrong size slide. If you are using a 10" slide, then the max depth of your drawer should be in the 10" to 11" range. If you have a drawer that's 16" deep, then you can not get "full extension" with a 10" slide; it's that simple.-Look at a few cabinet drawers elsewhere in your home; it's not rocket science, but there is some logic to installing.-Use flat head screws or a low profile round head. You need to be sure the head of the mounting screws you buy do not interfere with drawer movement.-When you position the slide where you want it, use a pencil to mark where you plan to put in screws. Remove the slide; get the screws started in the marked spots; remove the screws; put slide back and reinstall screws. Trying to "short-cut" this process by holding the slide and starting a screw is not a reliable way to get a good fitting drawer.-When I install, I either draw a level line inside the cabinet or if there is a "bottom" inside the cabinet below the drawer, I lay down a 1/8" +/- flag shim to set the drawer slides on (then screw the slides to the side walls in the cabinet; extend the drawer portion of the slide; slip the drawer in place; and screw the drawer to the slides; slip the shims out).-The drawer slides must be in close contact with the drawer. A distance of much more than a credit card is to much space and you will put bind the slides if you try to install that way. You must shim either the drawer side or the cabinet side to create a close, straight gap. 5Hardware Installation Interference As a general rule, the uxcell slides are fine. However, I purchased the 4" slides for a small drawer and these are problematic. The issue is that the drawer slide is so short (4") that the mechanism for separating the slide (i.e. when you want to remove the drawer box from the furniture) interferes with the mounting hardware. There is really no way around this for a slide this short. Once installed, the drawer is very difficult to open and close because the mounting hardware pinches the release mechanism. 1Lowest Quality Junk I go through dozens of drawer slides each year as I build furniture. I normally use Knape and Vogt or another good quality slide, but for small projects I use less expensive products, such as Shop Fox slides. They're cheaper and are not quite as smooth as higher priced slides, but for small projects, such as shed and garage cabinets, where quality isn't as much of a concern, it's perfectly fine. For a small tool cart I planned to build to hold a few specialty tools, I decided to go a cheaper route since smooth sliding and a high weight limit was not required, and the cart would see very limited use. I purchased three pairs of Amico full extension ball bearing drawer slides. What arrived looked like what was pictured above, but were marked 'Disiwei'. The Amazon part numbers did match, so apparently I did get the correct item. What was alarming was the Chinese writing all over the package. Although I have never been impressed by Chinese 'quality', packages like these, that look like they were never meant to be exported from China, are the worst of the worst.Upon opening the package, my expectations were proven correct... these are no doubt the cheapest drawer slides I've ever seen. The absolute lowest level of quality. The metal is incredibly thin and feels ridiculously cheap. The rubber bumpers and guides are actually a soft cheap plastic, as rubber would have been too precious of a material to use, I guess. The construction is flimsy and flex under the slightest pressure. The metal on my Knape and Vogt slides is .050" thick, while the Amico/Disiwei slides are only half that at .026". Side to side movement is extreme even for the most simplest of projects. On a side note, no instructions nor screws are included, so if you're new to installing drawer slides, I highly recommend you look elsewhere. In the end, even for this very small project I purchased them for, I would not even consider using them. Way too flimsy and I don't believe they would last even light use. They're being returned... the difference in price isn't nearly enough for me to waste my time with such low quality parts. 2No hardware included The slides are good but they do not come with screws. Disappointing as every set I have ever bought comes with installation hardware. Would have been nice to know prior to ordering as it doesn't say it anywhere in the product description that hardware isn't included. 3
