    Excellent cable relief. I like these as alternatives to other branded NEMA 4x type cable glands where you really don't need the waterproof rating because they are well built and the price is right. I use these as cable relief instead of grommets. If you are not familiar with NEMA 4x cable glands, these are made of a plastic material with a compression nut that closes the rubber sleeve tight onto the cable. Imagine making a circle with your index finger and thumb and making the hole smaller. Similar concept. The only thing that would make these better would be a rubber gasket for the mounting nut to make it more waterproof. I would not use these for any underwater applications or anywhere that will receive direct rain unless you add your own rubber gasket. 4These are great waterproof cable pass-throughs The PG11 size requires a 1" hole to be drilled. It is on the larger end of these connectors, which was perfect for me as I am building a solar power system. For larger wires they clamp down inside. smaller wires I squirted some silicone sealant in also. They provide a nice smooth entrance/exit that will not chafe the wires. So all in all, a great product. If you want to avoid using silicone, then size accordingly. 5Perfect for firewall. The PG-9 does 4 & 8g Both! Great. Best way to penetrate firewall. Forget the O-Rings & all other stuff. These lock it all tight & waterproof... 5Perfect--Love THESE Cable Connectors Incredible--very nicely made with outstanding holding power. I find these a safety critical product to be trusted. I purchased multiple sizes and each is of the same quality in fitment, thread-holding and the amount of torque these will handle is amazing--the inner sleeve grabs the outer sleeve of the 16 or 18/3 cord jacket with un-matched accuracy without crimping the internal wires. I will never go back to the typical cord guides that are oblong and require crimping to hold the cord in place--those slip, move around, and can place stress on inner wiring connectors. These do NOT slip at all--do NOT crimp the inner wires--do NOT allow stress on connectors per-inner wire. Wish I'd found these years ago. Super NICE! 5Good product! Bought this to run an 8awg wire through the firewall of my truck to run an amp/sub. I only needed one but at this price I could buy a pack of 10 for what some want for 1? It worked fine for me but was fairly difficult to install it by myself. Did finally do it but would have been way easier to have another set of hand (help that its!) 5Too large for a 7mm cable I bought these to mount an LEDwholesalers 10W outdoor flood light outside of my house. The light comes with an attached cable (with bare ends) that needs to be wired into an electrical box. I wanted the cable gland to provide a clean seal for the wire, and the white matched the electrical cover nicely.The LED power cable is about 7mm in diameter, so I originally bought the Amico PG11, which lists a cable range of 5mm-10mm. Well, the Amico glands would appear to run large, as the PG11 size was too large to get a good seal on my 7mm power cable. Technically it was possible, but required the gland to be tightened down all the way, which made the rubber seal and flanges protrude out of the nut, and even then wasn't as tight as I wanted.I bought the PG9 size, which worked much better with a 7mm cable.I wouldn't recommend the PG11 size for anything less than a 9mm cable. 3They work. Oh wow, waterproof cable things to put into waterproof enclosure things. Well done. OK, how excited can one get about such things? These work and they're inexpensice. What else could you want from such a thing? These are great things for doing what these things are supposed to do when used with other things. 5Love these! These were perfect for my needs. I built a portable power supply to take on my kayak to power my fish finder and my light. I needed something waterproof to pass the cables through to the inside of the battery box, and these fit the bill. They work perfectly for creating a waterproof seal around the 6mm cables, allowing my cables to pass through the box while keeping water out. This particular package can be used for cables ranging from 4mm to 8mm in diameter, but they come in other sizes also. The way they work is, as you tighten the nut the center becomes narrower until it encases your cable, creating a watertight seal. 5Very disappointed in this item Very disappointed in this item. I purchased these along with uxcell Waterproof Cable Connect Power Project Case Junction Box 200x120x75mm. The set-up was for a solar combiner box on the roof of my RV. The junction box exceeded my expectations for water tightness and dust proof, did a test with high pressure water to simulate driving in a rain storm and not a drop of water entered the box. However can't say the cable glands exceeded anything but disappointment. The threaded portion that goes into the box doesn't extend far enough into the box, this leaves only a couple threads to grasp with the locking nut. When you try to tighten the nut it just pops off the threaded shaft. And this is only trying to hand tighten. Gonna try and find different glands that will extend deeper into the box. 1Ships from China Ships from China, received it 16 days after order.Quality is OK, they were a little bit bigger than I expected.Bought them for an enclosure for my solar charge controller. 3
