Outstanding value, great for MacbookI use this with my 2017 Macbook and it is excellent. I did not install any drivers or other software. The thing just worked out of the box. This is in contrast to similar products I have used with Apple computers, that required vendor software and in one case simply never worked.The grey color looks fabulous when connected to my Macbook. The grey parts are real metal too. The short cable has good strain relief at both ends.Finally, the price. At this writing, this is one of the lowest cost items of its kind. I can now download my drivers and go about my business.Also, I was going to buy the Dell 3.1 Hub thing but it was expensive, had stuff I didn't need and I read comments about it not working for Linux. I chose USB-C over regular USB since USB devices are known to be resource hogs, and also because USB-C has faster transmission rates that USB 3.0.
