Customer Reviews

Inconsistent characters and little plot to go byThe difference between unpredictable and inconsistent characters is the difference between a good book and a poor one. Unfortunately, this piece belongs to the latter category. One moment the female lead couldn't care less about her boss' death (and, being privy to her thoughts, we know that for a fact), only to claim he was like a father to her (again, much of that claim is internal, so there's little reason to doubt it). The male lead (the CEO, not the drug dealer) oscillates wildly between thinking she is a cold bitch and discovering that there's a warm side to her, only to go back to plotting her emotional demise, followed by falling in love with her and so on. The only character that made some sense was the drug dealer, until we are told out of the blue that he actually has a college education. ALL the characters talk and act like semi-illiterate teenage gang members, because, of course, that's how African-Americans with higher education behave, right?Another part that made me nauseous was the fact that the main female character seemingly had only two choices at the end and they both involved a man. Really, a woman who is supposed to be smart, successful and strong can only choose between two men both of whom treat her like an object to be owned, used and bossed around?I'm only giving it 2 stars because I've read worse and because the author has managed to keep the spelling mistakes to a tolerable low. I got this book for free but I would've asked for a refund if I had paid anything over $1 for it. 2Wow!!!!This story was amazing a must read... just speechless wasnt what i expected at all dont sleep on this at alll. Im definatley going to check out some of Ms Pattersons other books. 5Uncrossing Her LegDominique surely had her hands full with Chad. Arvind turned out to be a disappointment but showing his true colors was for the best. This was wasn't too bad, needed some minor editing. 3A Good Mix Of Drama And Sexiness!Dominique Green is a woman that is used to getting what she wants when she wants it. She has climbed the corporate ladder of success at Troutman Mutual Funds & Investments company. Dominique thinks she's in line for a well-deserved promotion, that is, until the CEO dies. The CEO's nephew Arvind takes over the company and is ready to make some changes. But when Arvind finds himself mildly attracted to Dominique, he has decide if their relationship should be more than professional. Dominique already has occasional trysts with Chad, but she is suddenly interested in Arvind. But is Dominique focusing on the wrong man?Uncrossing Her Legs is a widely entertaining novel from T. D. Patterson. Patterson brought a story with a good mix of drama and sexiness. Readers might think that this is a erotica novel, but it's more of a contemporary fiction story with a spicy twist. You see how Dominique's and Arvind's childhood affected them in their adult relationships. The unexpected twist in this story makes this novel all the more enjoyable. Uncrossing Her Legs is a fast-paced novel that is worth reading. 4OkThis book has errors that could have be avoided with a good editing. The story line was okay. All the characters had childhood issues. The plot was not good enough in my opinion. But I will not let this discourage me of checking other books about this author. 3Another Good One !!!!!Teresa Patterson is an author that I do not pass by. I truly enjoy her books and this one was one that I am glad I did not miss.Women have ideas on how things are going to go and who meets their expectation of a good man. We pass by many a good man because of our lists of what we think will make us happy. This novel pointed out that sometimes we need to throw our lists out and just enjoy the moment. Stop comparing everyone to the list and see the person for who he truly is. 4Diamond In The RoughUncrossing Her Legs by Teresa D. PattersonThis was my first read by this author and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I am a Prime Member and got this book free. I can't say that I really expected very much from it but it was really a great read. This was a story of self-esteem building, love in the raw and judging a book by it's cover. Teresa Patterson did a fantastic job of making the story pop without going overboard. I will definitely be looking forward to reading other stories by her. Kudos Ms. Patterson for a job well done. 5Seriously . . .I have not read a book in sometime that disappointed me as much as this one. Stereotypical descriptions of black women and men were shameful. As well as the crazy notion that this strong educated black woman would settle for either of the men. The author should be ashamed. I really was offended. I will not read any more of this author's books. 1Good Read!!!Uncrossing her legs was a good read. The relationship that begins to develop between Arvind and Dominique is a tense one. He has already prejudged her based off of gossip that he has heard prior to taking over his Uncles' company. I don't want to give to much of the story away but all of the characters seemed to have gone through some devasting things to get them to where they were in their adult lives. Chad is Dominques' boy toy and as the story progresses their relationship develops in ways that I never would have imagined. Overall the book was good. I would have liked to have seen more of a storyline in regards to the issues that the characters dealt with as children but it didn't distract from the storyline...it was just my personal preference. Good Story! Looking forward to reading more from this author. If you like this book you may also enjoy...Tangled (A Short Story) 4Good bookGood read a few to many errors in the book but nice to read a stand alone book. Thank you 4
