Customer Reviews

Excellent quality for the priceExcellent quality for the price. Not really that much to it, simply plug your devices in and it will automatically switch to the most recently active unit. I have a Wii U, X-Box One and a Roku connected and have enjoyed not having to swap out the cable on the TV since there are not enough HDMI ports. I wish I had purchased this sooner. It's appearance is accurate to the picture; not much to look at or even very high tech, but it passed the smell test in my house. Definitely recommend this at a bargain price, it'll perform as well as the more expensive options.5Mine lasted only 45 daysGood product. - worked great but only lasted 45 days. For some reason the signal will switch to the appropriate channel - but it stopped passing audio and video. It's past the 30 day return window so I quess I'm stuck with a defective product.Update - back to 5 stars- after further investigation I have found out if one of your hdmi cables go bad the unit as a whole will not work- even if the hdmi cable which is bad is not active. After I changed out my hdmi cable they it works as designed. So if your switch stops functioning check your cables to see if one is bad.5it switchs for you, when new device powers onworks well on my Samsung Plasma TV which only has 2 Hdmi inputsI have this connecting my cable box and my Xboxyou don't even have to press the switch input button on this device, I leave my Xbox off, so if I am watching TV and want to switch to the Xbox, just turn the Xbox on and the TV automatically switches to the Xbox input, done with Xbox, turn it off, automatically switches back to tv5One minor caveatHere's our setup. We have a conference room TV with a single HDMI input and this switch splitting it. A Mac mini is plugged in 24/7 on input 1 of the switch. It never sleeps, the screensaver animates but the display never goes black. When someone brings a laptop in to plug in they use input 2 on the switch. When they plug in it will switch automatically which is great. If they're using a mini displayport to HDMI adapter with their laptop, you need to make sure that the adapter is unplugged from the switch (either by unplugging the HDMI cable from the switch or unplugging the adapter from the HDMI cable) otherwise it will think there's still a valid signal and won't switch back to the other input.5May not work with PS4 or Other HDMI-CEC devicesI bought a Samsung TV in a really good bundle, but was disappointed to find that it was bare bones in the number of inputs available. I bought this adapter with the intention of plugging my Wii U, PS4, and cable box without the need to to plug the switcher to an extra outlet. The result is a so-so.The original setup I intended was for the game consoles attached to the splitter and the cable box direct to the TV. Wii U was fine but the PS4 was the one giving me problems.-PS4 has HDMI-CEC enabled so I can control the TV remote with it, along with the system turning on my TV (it's an inconvenience to do it manually). The adapter was for some reason blocking the latter, the former was fine [but I don't rely on that feature constantly].-Mysterious snow artifacts were showing up with the game console.-My PlayStation was giving out on-off signals to the adapter. My TV read this as in limbo between no signal and barely received (black screen). This was looping twice a second. After trying several inputs on the adapter and switching the ports on the TV, I gave up and switched the PS4 with the cable box. The box constantly gives out a signal [even when off] so the red light is always lit, but the picture quality was fine. PS4 no longer acted up like I drugged it and was flawless. To note: the cable box and the Wii U do not have CEC features. My assumption is one of two things:1. HDMI-CEC devices may have issues passing though the adapter.2. The HDMI version of the adapter (1.3) is conflicting with the version on the PS4 (1.4).Next time I need to buy a splitter, I'll go for one from a trusted brand or one that's recommenced by many users. It's not worth testing out generic electronic devices with your supposed top-notch TV and game consoles.2Works great for PS3 and Xbox 360....not so much for Wii USo far so good....works perfectly with my gaming systems. I have a TV with only 2 HDMI ports, so I needed this to handle all 3 gaming systems we have. I will say that you should avoid using this with a Wii U system. There is something about that system where it will power on the port even though the system is "off" and not being used. I hooked up the Wii U directly to the TV, and I have a PS3 and Xbox 360 connected to this switch. It works perfectly enabling the port automatically when the gaming system is powered on.5THEY WORK WONDERFULLY!I bought 3 of them and they all work so great! Just plug them into an HDMI port on your TV and plug in any HDMI device into the splitter switch. Works wonderfully! This helped me out so much! I only have 3 HDMI ports on my TV and now with these 3 splitter switches I bought, I have 9! How cool is that?! It works wonderful with everything I've plugged in.5It works fine. It does get hung up A LOTIt works fine. It does get hung up once in awhile, requiring a total disconnection of all HDMI cables and unplugging the switch to get it to reset, but that has worked every time it did get stuck. Great value for the price, and it does auto-switch to the device that you turn on as advertised.Edit to 1 star. This switch is garbage. I downs more time unplugging everything to try and get this unstuck, I may as well just swap cables. Hate it.1Lasted 3 1/2 monthsSeemed like it worked well at first, auto switching when devices powered up was helpful. Then I started noticing signals wouldn't pass from time to time and I'd have to switch channels. 4 months after 3 1/2 months after receiving it the thing totally went out, very disappointing.1DETAILED REVIEW! GREAT PRODUCT!Okay so i want to clear this up for some people. First off this is NOT a splitter. It is a switcher. Which is okay because i knew exactly what i was ordering. Let me explain. What this is for is for someone like me who has 1 TV but 2 or 3 different things plugged into that one TV. So i have a 23 inch TV in my room on my desk. I have my PC (computer) hooked up to it and i also have a PS3. This allows you to have 3 devices hooked up to 1 HDMI port. If you are in the same boat as me you only have 1 HDMI port on your TV or maybe you have 2 ports on your TV but say you have 4 devices you want hooked up to it. Lets say a PS3, PS4, Xbox, and a DVD player. So what this will do is it will allow 3 devices to use the same HDMI port. It is VERY easy to use and lets say i'm on my computer and i want to play PS3. Before i had to sit up mess with the cables behind my 23 inch TV and than unplug the computer cable to put in the PS3 cable and than switch back when i was done playing with the PS3. Now with this HDMI Switcher all i do is power on the PS3 and the input on my TV AUTOMATICALLY switches to the PS3. Now if you want to go back to your PC (even if the PS3 is still on) you just hit the button and you can switch back to using the PC if you had to look something up per say and than switch back to PS3 by hitting the button again. This is MUCH easier than having to unplug one cable and put in another :D Also i want to point out when i power on my PS3 if i'm using my PC the input AUTOMATICALLY switches to the PS3 (i know i already said this) and if i turn off the PS3 it will automatically switch back to my PC :D Which is great! So i hope this review cleared up some maybe confusion or not. I personally love it. Works great and switches inputs automatically but you do have the choice to select the input you want to use should you need to switch back to another input for whatever reason. This would be GREAT for living room TV's with multiple devices hooked up to 1 TV. Hope this review helps anyone looking to purchase this. Thanks for reading all of this and happy holidays everyone!5
