    Good for the price.Needed to extend the door chime for an access control system and this little guy is working great after adding 100ft of wire between it and the control unit.5Not a House Door Bell Replacement . Get a wireless one instead.Tried to replace a two wire house door bell with this. Only wiring combo that worked left the unit buzzing quietly all the time. Tried all different wire combinations. Ended up just buying a wireless doorbell for $16. Not worth trying to fix the old wired one.2did not workI tried to use it with my Ring door bell but it did not work. EITHER WAY - IT IS CRAP...1Good product, with some limitations.I have had it installed for 1 day. It works. It sounds like an Asian grocery store, but it is a quaint sound. Plenty of volume, but not adjustable. It was easy to install. However, the design is limited. The cable exits the rear of the box, which is also where the mounting screw must connect. The design assumes it is mounted on a wall, and the cable is run through a hole in the wall. One can flush-mount the box to a surface, but there is no hole in the side where the cable can exit, to be also surface-mounted on the wall. Also, the mounting slot on the back requires a tiny screw (not provided).4Good Item With Poor Technical SupportThe item works. The vendor possesses no comprehension or understanding of simple electrical circuitry however and merely employs directing one's questions to referenced "wiring diagrams". Wiring diagrams are not "schematics" and the vendor is incapable of answering simple technical questions.Here is my finding in simple terms:Red wire: 12 volts DC (positive) +Black wire: 12 vdc Negative (ground) -Yellow and Green wires are wired to a N.O. (normally open ) momentary contact (a 'dry' contact - no current potential) for triggering sound output. (good for brief closure to trigger a full length chime execution).Alternately, one can also leave these two wires shorted for simple voltage/no-voltage operation as like a simple two-wire sounder or bell.Et Voila4
