    Finally Good Sounding Earpiece Went through a few cheaper mics before I broke down and paid more for this one. It is money well spent. The sound quality is great and it appears to be well constructed. The cords are long enough for most any routing you might prefer. There is a separate mic and earphone cord should you want to route the mic down your sleeve.I had previously tried earpieces from Baofeng and Retevis, but they don't compare to this one from Pulsat. Those others had horrible, hollow speakers in them.I use this earpiece with Valley Enterprises Earmold Earbud. I'm not a fan of having something stuck into my ear canal. This is a good comprise for not-quite-load environments. 5Good in-ear sound and great mic. Good mic and earpiece. Grabby rubberized wire that I don't care for. Rather have a Kevlar braid. I wear under shirt, over t-shirt, and the wire is hard to get just right. For me, mic wire could be shorter and earpiece wire could be longer. But performs the job I purchased it for. Much more convenient and private than having to blare the radio strapped onto belt, or try to hang radio from shirt. 4Product is as discribed Product is as discribed 5Great item This works excatly as expected. I did opt to get the silicone ear piece so im not sure how the OEM part feels in the ear. The rest of this works perfectly. 5Please Note: Major Design Change In This Earpiece This earpiece is as advertised. Sturdy, reliable, etc. HOWEVER, it appears since my purchase in April 2016, there was a significant design change. On my unit, both the mic cord and earpiece cord meet (or split) at the two prong connector where it plugs into the walkie talkie. With the walkie talkie attached to my belt, the mic cord was long enough to run up to my shoulder and down my sleeve so I could either hold the mic in my hand (Secret Service style) or clip it onto the cuff of my shirt. This is the major reason I bought this earpiece. Now with the design change, I'll look elsewhere.Keep in mind that many of the older reviews are referring to the older model that own, not this updated version.Empire Wireless, please bring back the former design. Several of the people I work with want to purchase this older model as well. 5Comfortable, clear sound, great value Use it every shift, comfortable earpiece, good sound quality, very discrete. Being in Law Enforcement, it hasn't fallen off during physical altercations unlike my lapel Mike. Relieved compliments on it, even started a trend in my Dept. 5Sound quality just isn't. There is no quality to the sound. Just don't. It does what it claims, but poorly. The audio that gets sent to my radio is cloudy and muffled, much MUCH worse than the sound that the radio's built-in mic picks up. People can't understand me when I use it. So the purpose is really defeated. I don't use it, would not recommend. Don't be cheap, buy the more expensive one from Kenwood, or whatever you're using. 1The unit is sturdy, well made I bought this unit with the idea of surveillance at low volume in both listening and transmitting. The unit is sturdy, well made. it has heavy wiring and the p.t.t. functions well and feels comfortable to use. the sound is very good with the ear piece comfortable enough to be worn in an 8 - 10 hour shift. I would have given this unit a 5 star rating except for one thing, the microphone . If I don't speak directly and loudly into the microphone, every one listening tells me i'm low volume. the need to speak so loudly into the microphone shoots down the idea of stealth surveillance. Other than this one issue, the unit is very nice. 4Solid unit! Great headset! I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the product, the earpiece is solid and sturdy, the mic is much higher quality than my previous headset.Most of management at my employer has bought their own headsets so that we don t have to share dirty headsets, and everyone s a bit jealous of mine!The original reason for purchasing this model was to have a headset that: 1. I can hide the wire well, to keep a clean look, and 2. Would keep me from yanking the earpiece out every five minutes - my old headset could have its wire hidden, but the big old loop between the mic and earpiece would still catch all the time. No more! Only caveat is that the tight earplug is a litte uncomfortable. 4Fits perfect wit my Kenwood radio Fits perfect wit my Kenwood radio.
