    Five StarsWorks great 5Unimpressive real-world performanceAbout the only good thing I can say is it sticks well to my windshield. Can't wait for a warm day so I can pull it off. Reception was poorer than the magnetic-mount 1/4 wave antenna I was using before. The screw to hold the antenna at your desired angle gets loose and the antenna flops over. I was able to get 1.2:1 SWR on 2M and 1.5:1 SWR on 70cm, but actually found that even my local repeaters had trouble breaking through my squelch. And the 17' of coax is unmanageable. Where exactly does Tram think people are mounting their radio that requires 17' of coax from a windshield-mounted antenna? 8' would have been more than sufficient. 2GLASS MOUNTWhat the manufacture forgets to tell you is that the window mount must be on a window that does not have any tint on it 2Five Starsreturning. Antenna is a mile long with little to no support 5Four StarsI was a little skeptical of this at first, but it actually works really well. 4Bad SWR, do not buy!Put it on car according to instructions. Put SWR meter on it for it was never better than 3:1 on any frequency no matter how much we adjusted the tuning screw. Yes, we did verify the SWR meter was good and we tested against another one as well, same results. Also, this does not tune the US ham VHF band. The frequencies are 144 mhz to 148 mhz, so it's useless to a ham operator. Removing it was a huge pain as well. The only thing good on this is glue apparently. Will be requesting a refund. 1Giving it a 4 star instead of a 5 due ...Giving it a 4 star instead of a 5 due to a total lack of installation instructions. I will follow up with a later addition to this review when I have a chance to real world performance test it. 4I am happy overall with this purchaseI am happy overall with this purchase. I had to search quite a bit to find out what to do with the little antenna. Its a ground plane antenna, so it just needs to be mounts perpendicular to the main antenna (for those wondering the same). I also found that the 18ft of cable was a little too lengthy for my application as others have mentioned. I had decided to cut it to length and replace the connector with an SMA-F anyways so this was not an issue for me. All-in-all I think I cut off about 3 feet in a Toyota extended cab, so this length is probably perfect for a double cab or larger full size pickup. More is always better than not enough. I haven't tested or tuned this antenna much but it seems to transmit out of the box. If I have any issues with it, I'll make sure to post back with an update 5very poor rec/trnsmtlooks like a great product, the 3m tape was great, antenna looked good on truck, but reception dropped dramatically with this antenna and transmitting even worse. had to take it off and drill a hole to run my old magnetic base antenna into cab anyways. 2Good product and service.Good service and delivery. Product works well close to town, less than good results away from town, not a fault of product. Terrain and system is a big challenge 3
