    Great reception ?I hooked this up to a small, old school, scanner. The scanner is weak, but with this antenna it boosted its receiving abilities 10 fold. The magnet is powerful too. Driving down the highway at 70mph and it wont even budge. 5Good for scanners. Have three of them. Works ok for scanners scanning amateur repeaters (2m/70cm), public safety, airband, CB, etc. Using these with an analog Bearcat scanner and also SDR. Solid, sturdy, base. Much better than the mini stuff out there like the 1089. Cable that comes with it is only 12 , not 17 as described in description, which needs to be edited. I only needed 10 of cable so this worked great. 5Works well for the price. Cable is only 12', not 17'. The TRAM 1094-BNC Scanner 3 1/2" Magnet Antenna is a very inexpensive mobile scanner antenna that works well for the price. It receives very good on VHF and UHF. It is fair to good on 800MHz. When used as a mobile antenna, it is a big improvement on all bands over a duck antenna inside the vehicle. The cable is shorter than advertised though. It is only 12 feet instead of the listed 17 feet. I don't have any issues with the small magnetic base. I find the antenna works well indoors too, provided you have a decent ground plane. Mounting on a file cabinet or outside on an air conditioner works well. For under $15, I'm happy with this antenna. 412' Cord not 17' as advertised When a false product description makes the product un-usable it gets a low ranking. The product has only a 12-foot cable, not the 17 as in the description...so for my application (about 15') it is pointless. This required moving the antenna from its ideal vantage point to a lower/semi obstructed spot causing interference.How hard is it to read the label when posting or post the label on the listing so customers don't need to order and be disappointed? 1Gives strong signals I bought a scanner not long ago because I wanted to find out what I would find. With this antenna, I found out I could hear emergency vehicles and HAM radio users 20 miles away. Neat toy. 5works great! way better than stock Works great. Way better than short rubber antenna on my trx-1 scanner. I use it in the house by just setting it on the window sill inside my house and can now pick up the next county loud and clear! Before I heard nothing from the next county. And with the magnet mount I can use it in any car I drive. Great scanner antenna. 5Good scanner antenna but didn't last a year This antenna did a good job of picking up the frequencies I listened to between 100-500MHz. The antenna can be unscrewed from the magnetic base to quickly remove it before going into parking garages without having to move the magnet or cable. The antenna is two sections that connect at the plastic piece in the middle. When assembled, the antenna was never completely straight. There was a slight change in direction where they connected. After several months of keeping the antenna on my vehicle, the antenna broke off an inch from the connection to the base. I didn't hit it on anything. I was driving on the highway and heard a clang. That was the antenna falling off. All that was left was the magnet mount base with about an inch of antenna. Looking at the break, it may have been metal fatigue. 2Awesome, works better than expected. Purchased a scanner on amazon. Lots of interference and not able to get to much to come across. Started to research and found I need to add an antenna. Picked this one up pretty cheap and put it on the roof of my home. After running the wire to the scanner I found that Inam now getting stations from well over 20 miles away! This antenna has allowed me to listen to so much stuff going on around me. The product is made with good materials and has been outside now for almost a year. No regrets as it is still holding up well and allowing me to listen to everything. I have recommended it to so many people already.If you found this helpful please give me a helpful click. 5Works great on p25 systems Same here have it on window seal outside. Can pickup p25 system 25 miles away. This works better than the 1089 I bought. It has about twice the db gain and range. 5I am very happy with it I bought two of these..one for car and one for window. was going to go with the NMO larsen but gave this a chance. I am very happy with it. I live in very congested area with a lot of high rises buildings and this definitely helps out. FD signals are often staticky. This doesn't clear the problem but helps. 5
