    Great quality, look greatThese Torchstars were purchased to replace our four 24 yr old Halo recessed light trim units, 3 outside over doors and one over our kitchen sink. Fit as well as & cost 25% of Halos, great quality, look great. TomC 5Canned lighting in ceilings do matter!This is a great product. Didn't know what to expect. Easily installed these as replacements for my black canned lighting that did not compliment my kitchen ceiling. Installed these and they fade away within the white of the ceiling which was extremely pleasing. Now you eye isn't drawn towards the lights. Highly recommend these for you at home project! 5these are great trims. look cleanthese are great trims. look clean, snap in simply and have a just a bit of adjustment. they sit proud of the ceiling plane by about 1/8" and are super clean and satin white. 5Very good value and well packaged when I receive the packageVery good value and well packaged when I receive the package. The trim are well worth the price! The chrome reflector are smooth and seem high quality! 5Very goodI bought these Trims to replace the old HALO 993W Trims of the same size - 5" the outside diameter, about 3.25" opening. They worked out perfectly and seem to be of better quality than the originals. These Trims are slightly shallower and a bit heavier. Removing the old ones was rather difficult, it was hard for me to squeeze all 3 springs at the same time. After installing new Trims I tried to remove one, and it was very easy, possibly because they are not as deep and the springs are a bit shorter. Also the old Trims used to get hot very quickly even with GE Refresh 12 Watt Bulbs, and they yellowed over time (about 6 years). These new Trims do NOT get warm at all even though the GE Refresh Bulbs are slightly bigger than BR-20 and sit tighter in the opening. This is certainly a welcomed Feature. Overall I am very please with these new Trims.Thank you,GF 5they look greatThey look greeat and fit over my philips hue bulbs (the normal ones not the smaller bulbs) 5RecommendLook fantastic. Easy to install & good quality. Was able to get them up in minutes. 5Much better than the ones available from Home Depot or Lowe sThese trim rings are far superior to the ones available at Home Depot or Lowe s in my opinion for several reasons, and are much less expensive. I included a picture of the TorchStar trim on the left, and the store-bought trim on the right. The store-bought one is very plasticky, and discolors over time, and seems impossible to clean. The Torchstar trim is made of thin metal and has a very smooth surface which will always be able to easily wipe clean. The torch star trim has an opening where the lightbulbs rest that is exactly the right size for the bulbs for these canlights, and provide a good fit. The trim from the store has a wider opening, and leaves a gap between the bulb and the trim. The torch star trim came with a foam gasket which seals nicely against the ceiling, while the ones I got from the store don t, and some of them don t snug the ceiling or become wonky overtime. Overall the touch star trim seems much simpler in design- -yet more functional and stays ultra white and looks better. What store-bought ones were $20 each, and look very bad. 5Well made. Look great.These trims/baffles are just terrific. They plug right into a 4" can. Easy peasy. A couple years ago I had an electrician put some cans in my kitchen with "kits" that came from Home Despot. The baffles that you get at HD in the kits are crap compared to these. My home looks amazing with the new lighting. They come in different color configurations for the same price. I got white with white baffles but got a set of white with silver baffles to see if I liked them. I'd say the silver baffles are a little "glarier" so would be good for a commercial look, but the white is softer and nicer for general home 8' ceilings. 5Good valueThese were less than half the price of the halo units sold at my local store I was replacing because they yellowed. I m hoping they don t yellow like the halo ones. 5
