    Not "The Highest Tide" author!This guy is a hack. He needs to add his middle initial or something, to distinguish him from the Jim Lynch who wrote "The Highest Tide" and "Border Songs." I was very unhappy to receive this book and realize it wasn't by Jim Lynch, THE AUTHOR. 1Talented WriterI was surprised how captivating this story was-it being the first novel from this author. I found it enchanting and a great read. It was definitely a book I had a hard time putting down. I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is interested in a story that captures real life stories. 5Awful writingI could not finish this book. I have read most of Lynch's books, so this was really kind of a big disappointment in its lack of focus and shoddy language, many grammar errors and typos. Save your money. 1Reaity based novel . A great idea.Jim Lynch's first novel blends the reality of an emerging corporation with deeply painted fictional characters acting out a plausible conclusion to real events just now begining to unfold. The strength and drive of the female characters is an interesting twist in that these characters succeed in a male dominated business world without sacrificingtheir femininity and family values. Mr. Lynch's story includes intrigue, murder, sex, business, hope and despair in a novel that attempts to capture and define the direction humanity is heading as we move forward in the 21st Century. 5The least of Lynch's efforts to dateLynch writes well. This book is only an exception in one very significant way. He appears unable to hide his thinly veiled agenda in any way. As much as telling a story, Lynch wants to promote an agenda with this book. I am enamored with the agenda, but it certainly diminishes the tension of the story dramatically, and trivializes the ending.He's a very good writer, I hope there's another and another to come. 3
