    Lasted 3 months Unfortunately my department switched motorola mics and I had to find a new earpiece. This one works, but that's about all I can say. It is difficult to get screwed into the radio. It also seems quieter than the old earpiece I bought from this brand.Edit: After 3 months it died in the middle of a shift. 1Works Great! I have been using this product for about two weeks now and it is worth every penny. It fits into the 3.5mm threaded jack in my Motorola radio without any problems. It fits comfortably in my ear, although it does take a bit of wearing to get used to. The audio is clear, no complaints about the audio quality whatsoever. You will not miss any more radio calls if you buy this product. I Guarantee it. 5Bad Product Listen to the reviews! I thought I would give this earpiece a try despite some of the bad reviews. It was great for the first 2 weeks. The third week it started sounding staticy and then it started cutting in and out to the point where I would not be able to hear some of the radio traffic. I checked the connections and they were all intact and plugged in. I am returning this to the seller for a refund. 1Great earpiece! I have been using the earpiece for a few months and love it! The only thing to be careful with is the wire connection at the clip. Try not to let the weight of the radio be held by it. Mine came loose from use but I simply pressed it back into place and haven't come out since I did that. I would definitely buy again and would recommend to my coworkers. 5Made it sound like everyone was talking into a plastic cup Purchased for duty work. After 1.5 months the cord separated from the threaded connector into my radio. Made it sound like everyone was talking into a plastic cup. Tried to fix the problem, but the entire core then came out of the housing rendering the earpiece completely useless. I'm in the marked for a better more "duty worthy" earpiece. Expensive but not built to last. 1Great product, poor customer service Great product, however doesn't seem to last long when using it every day. The jack will bend and eventually break which makes the connection weak and cut in and out. Once this happens, it is unsafe to use due to radio traffic not being heard because the jack being inserted and not transmitting traffic.I was very disappointed with the product delivery as I paid for standard shipping and it took nearly 2 weeks to receive the product after it was said to be delivered in 3-5 days. I will not be ordering this product from this location anymore. 2Read the reviews... I ll start by saying I never leave reviews...I loved this earpiece...for about a week and a half. It was everything I wanted and fit nicely under my external carrier (the coiled cable kept loose wiring out of mind). And then it started cutting in and out, static, missed radio calls. I ll be spending more $ elsewhere trying to find something built more solid. 2It (might/sometimes/can) work Bought two -- one lasted two years and the other was DOA (I kept it because I optimistically and mistakenly believed I might fix it later). Anyone who purchases one of these has two questions: why is this so expensive, and why did Motorola make their APX radio RSMs use this type of connector.After many months of deep contemplation, I have no good answer for either.Unless you use an external carrier, the cable is an absolute pain to route to the base of your radio in a way that doesn't screw up your shirt and isn't totally obnoxious against your body. On top of that, the mere act of screwing in the connector adds a lot of stress to the internal wiring, accelerating the inevitable degradation and eventual failure of the connection (which is discovered after you think to yourself "my god the radio is quiet tonight" followed by the realization you've missed 20 minutes of radio traffic because your stupid earpiece broke). I digress.The earpiece is overpriced and nothing about it is logical or satisfying. You're stuck with a dumb RSM and chances are this is only one of a very limited number of choices. As much as I would like to recommend "go for an alternative," I honestly don't think there is an alternative. 2Good until it stopped working Stopped working before wearing it for a month. Worked well until then. Bought two. One as a back up. Back up didn t work for two minutes 1Stealthy, comfortable, and safe. I'm a Deputy Sheriff that works night shift currently. This is a great tool to use so the people I'm dealing with don't hear the radio chatter. It also helps with stealth as my radio isn't going off out loud at inopportune times. One thing people take for granted is the fact the earbud style ones block out the sound. This one does not do that, and that's huge from an officer safety standpoint. I would highly recommend this product. It's more expensive than some, but you get what you pay for. Finally, it's so comfortable I forget its even there most of the time.***UPDATE***I had some of the issues in some of the other reviews so I contacted the company directly. I sent them back mine and they sent me a brand new one within a couple of days. I was able to speak with them directly and they were super friendly and helpful. 5
