Whoever invented this is a godsend 5Simple Solution to a Really Common Problem This product was much easier than the alternative of attic work to remove an old can light. It is very simple to install especially when compared to a full light fixture replacement.That being said I had a little difficulty with the socket threads losing their contact and the assembly dropping down about 1/8". I just had someone come support the light I was hanging until I had everything secure and it worked out, although it still felt a little precarious 4Do not buy!!! Three times as many parts, three times as complicated, as necessary. Incredibly bad design. Gave up on it, bought competing Westinghouse product. No comparison. Cheaper, incredibly better and simpler design. Trust me, if you care about your money, time, and serenity, buy that one and not this one.
