    Excellent Fit!!!Simple, Easy, and Affordable! 5Lasted two monthsThe round key pushes six pins different distances to allow the lock to rotate. The lock worked fine at first. After a month, it became difficult to unlock. Lubricant helped for a week. The pins are a floppy fit and return springs are too weak to push the pins out. After six weeks, I occasionally had to jiggle the pins with a paper clip to coax them out far enough that the key could push them back in the correct distance to unlock. At two months, I put the key in and turned it, but then it jammed and the key wouldn't come out. The key now covers the pins and no amount of jiggling will let it turn. The lock is now unusable. 1Effective and secure, but not very portableI was looking for a laptop lock that I could throw into my laptop bag and take with me wherever I need to secure my MacBook Pro (e.g. coffee shops). This more than does the job--I certainly don't worry about theft when it's in place--but it's longer, heavier and more awkward than necessary for my purposes.I would recommend this laptop lock for stationary uses (securing a laptop to a desk, for instance), but not to someone looking for security on the go. 3Excellent product.Great product. It even came with a hook that you can attach to a desk. The product is sturdy and easy to set the combination. The 6 foot cable is nice. If you need a notebook/tablet lock this works great! 5Not bad, it does workNot bad, it does work. Two complaints: one, it feels a little chintzy, but I was going for the lowest price. Two, it's pretty round near where it connects to the laptop. The consequence of this is I feel like I have to prop my laptop up, so the lock doesn't break the port. On the other hand, though, it's probably just me being neurotic. 4You Get What You Pay ForI was looking for an inexpensive laptop lock. The combination on this one could be set fairly easily with a small screwdriver, but the lock had the annoying habit of jamming in my laptop. I couldn't unlock it, nor could I remove it from my (Acer) laptop when it was finally unlocked. I almost had to try to cut the lock off with tin snips. I finally worked it free and threw it out and bought a Kensington 4-wheel cable lock and I am much happier with the Kensington. A little more money for the Kensington, but you get what you pay for. 1Works wellToo bad we even need this stuff. It does make things more secure. 5Noble and Nano attachments DO NOT WORK.Cool, spent $35 on a cable lock that is worth $4.This lock has three attachments that are supposed to work on Kensington, Kensington Nano, and Noble lock slots. The only attachment that actually works is the one for standard Kensington slots (multiple laptops tested) that have been around for 25 years. If I needed a lock for just a standard Kensington, I could have bought one from a brick and mortar store for $4 with no wait for shipping. Thinking the first one was out of spec, I returned it for another. Same results.Save your time, save your money, and skip this well-intentioned but poorly executed lock. 1It works fineIt works as you would expect it, fairly standard. The dials are a little rough at first, but they seem to be moving smoother with use. 4Excellent at any priceThis lock works well and is cheap. These two attributes make it great for a college student. The $7 investment is really worth it if you are at a big campus.Some people might complain about little things in the build quality, or compare steel strengths, or weird stuff like that. But honestly, more than half the value of a laptop lock is visual deterrence, and this thing serves that purpose flawlessly.The combo does not change on its own; just remember to turn the screw back all the way once you are done setting the combo (It's in the instructions)The instructions are clear and simple so you don't have to guess your way through the process.Targus may not be the name brand, but it works just as well and is built well, too. 5
