    Works But Has Some Problems When Using On Etekcity 300Mbps 1000mW USB WiFiI purchased to boost & extend range of Etekcity 300Mbps 1000mW USB WiFi Wireless Network Adapter with Dual 6dBi Antennas & Ralink RT3072 Chipset Integrated for Notebooks, Laptops, Desktops,The connector elbows are so loose that if not standing up perfectly straight they will flop to either side. I used two garbage bag wire ties to tie antennae arms to together at about 30 degree angles.Antennae are fairly heavy, and tend to over weigh usb wifi base so need to position base carefully, or if you have double sided tape you can tape firmly in position.Extenders did detect additional signals, and boosted signal on a few.We are in a large Metro area, but in a valley which probably is why most wifi signals are fairly weak3Worked great. I had an ASUS RT-AC66U with three 9 ...Worked great. I had an ASUS RT-AC66U with three 9 dBi gain antenna and I bought the In-Laws a ASUS RT-N12D1 and used these 9 dBi gain antenna to extend my home network .2 miles away to them downhill through light tree cover. They now share my internet connection for free and have great signal with no speed loss.5Works well at 300 feet!Placed these on my Netgear AC1200 router and get about 300 feet of range. The router sits on a window sill, my horse stables and music studio is 300 feet down the driveway and I can receive a decent signal and transmission rate from there. A fairly decent improvement over the stock antenna from my experience. I'd buy these again should I need the range.5good but very big.I did not realize just how tall these are. I could have probably gotten the next size smaller, but that is not the manufactures issue, it is my issue for not realizing just how large they are.4Great distance for wifiWe moved a while back and our wifi extender was put up until recently, noticed we were missing one of our antennas. Appear sturdy. Fully extended, mine are about 15.3" total length, with 0.3mm threaded connector (be careful, they are also sold with 0.5mm threads). My ActionTec router and Netis WF2190 USB adapter originally included 7.5 inch, 5dBi antennae. Primarily wanted these longer antennae to ensure connectivity with my desktop tower sitting on the floor about 35 feet from the transmitting router. Seeing no difference in connectivity Mbps rates during my tests, they remain constant at 130Mpbs (tested mixed/matched sets of 5 and 9dBi or 7.5" and 15.3" lenghts). In fairness, and when asked, the adapter tech support emailed they didn t think I would see much improvement in Mbps rates by replacing the antennae. I choose to chance it, but that doesn t excuse a couple issues in the Cons section below. So far, my only improvements between using 5dBi vs 9dBi, and possibly not worth the money, is the internet signal going from solid 4 bars to 5, and being able to see two additional WPA2-PSK neighborhood networks which I wouldn t try connecting to anyway. So it seems these antennae might most benefit those with experiencing issues communicating with and remaining connected to their routers, which is fine. Perhaps future tweaking of the wifi adapter utility software will improve transfer rates.Cons: Disappointed. Ordered two sets, total of four; one set (ASIN B0178CFL3S) described as compatible with wifi Actiontec router, one set described as compatible with PCIe cards/repeaters/USB adapters. Cost/Size: Posted prices were different and lengths were supposed to be as well, but appears I received 4 of the same item. One set described as 15.5" long, the other 15.3", mine arrived exactly the same length, 15.3"--Packaging: Terrible, terrible. Each antenna was in a thin, clear plastic sleeve with no markings. Arrived in an oversized, plastic envelop without any inside padding whatsoever, and the contents were moving around inside. Antennae easily could have been bent in transit. Envelop had a hole near the top with part of one plastic sleeve sticking out, so it seems at least one antenna tip poked through the envelop in transit. The seller did not include a packing list.--Identification: All four were in one shipping envelop, not one of them was labeled with a model number either on the antennae and/or with a removable label, can t tell which two are for the router and which two are for the USB wifi adapter because they are physically identical. Seller charges a separate shipping fee per piece/set for their products, so we should expect better packaging of the merchandise. Will think long and hard before purchasing from this seller again, especially if products look similar and might be in a combined shipment.Other thoughts: Have and will keep them but would not buy more, especially from this seller.3Waste of money and timeI have a linksys repeater RE6500 for which I bought these. I tested these in every way possible but they did not work at all. No boost to my previous signal. Don't waste money buying these. Instead buy a gud repeater.1
