Excellent Upgrade for Duty Light over the StingerThis light is incredibly bright, fantastic for 2nd Shift or Nights. I use a Safariland D-Cell ring, and it works well, a C-Cell ring would be fine too, but may rest against the button. This is not a light you can use a pouch with, it will need to be worn on a ring.On high, this is brighter than the spotlight on my car, and the light has a little more weight than the regular Stinger, which is good in my opinion. On medium, the intensity of the beam is equivalent to the Stinger, and on low, you have 16 hours of run time. That's outstanding, if you end up getting stuck on a long call there is no need to worry about having enough battery to last the shift.Outstanding light overall5Great light I use dailyI love this flashlight. It is very bright and throws a useful beam. I has a lot or reach and good spill up close. I use it almost every night when I take the dogs out before bed. Our yard is about 225 yards for one side to the other and I can see all the way across the yard to keep an eye on the dog as they take care of business.Good runtime and with the quick charger, it will recharge quickly. This is an all-around great light. The only issue is that this light is so bright that you need to have it aimed a little farther out from where your standing when you turn it on. The glare in the immediate area can be a little much if your eyes are used to the dark when you turn it on.5Super bright.This thing is super bright even on the lowest setting. I am able to see everything on the yard at night. The only downside is I like the possibility to have a piggyback charger only stinger doesn't make one so I had to make my own from their other piggyback charger. Also if you want a strong light that will handle a little abuse this light is for you. Mine accidentally and true accident got ran over by a bus( I was not testing its strength) . The light is fine and still works only some minor scuffs on it and its ready to go battle with a few battle scars. When i get the photo of my light i will update this.5$130 mistake?Bought this flashlight February 2017 and has received moderate amount of use around the house/property. Never been used in the rain, dropped, or abused. The other day pulled the flashlight from the charger and it would not cycle through the different brightness modes like usual. Typically holding the button down allows the light to cycle through 3 different brightness setting. Also rapidly double clicking the button turns on the strobe function. This too was not functioning. Presently the light will only turn on and off. Worried soon it may not function at all.I feel spending a substantial amount of money on a light should guarantee operability longer than 14 months.1and that has the wider beam that makes it a better choice for general useVery powerful, but definitely not a general purpose light. I also have the Stinger DS LED High Lumen light, and that has the wider beam that makes it a better choice for general use. If they were rifles, the UltraStinger would be a precision sniper rifle, while the Stinger DS LED High Lumen would be an M4 carbine. Both have their uses. Both were bought for security purposes, and we are glad that we have both. When searching longer range areas such as a wooded area, the UltraStinger just can't be beat.5Outstanding, sturdy, very bright rechargeable torch.This is a superbly built, and very effective emergency flashlight. It is exceptionally solid in the hand, which instills confidence during use. The light output is very strong and can actually cause some queasiness if you view the spot in close quarters. I've got this unit mounted in my bedroom on a wall for immediate access, and it remains charged at all times. I am thoroughly satisfied with this purchase, and will be acquiring a few more Streamlight products in the future.Thanks, MagLite; you've worked well over the past couple of decades, but Streamlight is the new standard and the only choice for me going forward. Definitely five stars!5DEFINITELY PURCHASE!!! Do not buy anymore cheap flashlights!Extremely bright! shined across a 1700+ft wide lake and it lit up the sidings of houses...insane! Definitely recommend the fast chargers...trust me, it's worth the extra $50 for Fast chargers. The reason i bought this was because of my frustrations with cheap, low brand flashlights...after recognizing the brand on my fire departments' flashlights, i gave amazon a search...this flashlight was the first thing that popped up...my next paycheck, purchased his product. Arrived in one week from order date. (upgraded my shipping speed) 100% satisfactory, and will never go back to anything else but Streamlight.5Probably the Best Flashlight Out There.Very good flashlight. I had the older standard bulb Ultrastinger and it's still running after over 15 years (and about 6 or 7 bulbs). Passed that on to a family member. This version is 4x brighter per specs and can easily illuminate the park across the street at night (neighborhood watch program). The only minor drawback is that the beam isn't adjustable like the earlier version. Honestly though, how often does anybody need a wide beam on a flashlight? The tight focus beam is so bright there's a bit of illumination to either side of it anyway.All in all, the only real "drawback" to this flashlight is it's price. It's expensive, BUT you get what you pay for, and a Streamlight will easily outlast a whole parade of cheaper lights. Buy quality once, or buy cheap several times? I know which way I went, and most first responders go. :)5Turds.Don't buy it off Amazon. You will get a deadbeat rechargeable battery from China that will turn off on you 10 seconds into a traffic stop. Contacted Stream Light Customer service about the situation and they responded right away saying to take it to a service dealer. Then I read the Limited Warranty and it says the battery isn't covered. I responded to the email from CS about the battery being the issue and they never responded. Had to spend $30 dollars on a real battery. What are the biggest parts of a flashlight? Light and battery. Why would Stream Light sell a product and not cover one of the most important parts? Its like selling a car and being like NAH, Engine not included in warranty BRAH.1Great light for patrolGreat light for patrol. VERY bright and focused beam, but still plenty of spill to illuminate the surrounding area. Cuts through window tint well. Long enough to protrude from the sap pocket so it's easily grabbed and also long enough to tuck under your arm to keep both hands free while writing or talking to people.Anodizing is quite thin and it's already wearing away in some spots after about a month of use. Doesn't affect function in anyway, just something I've observed.4
