    I'll forever have a Streamlight Stinger This is the 2nd Stinger flashlight I've had from Streamlight and I love it. The only reason I had to buy a second Stinger was because my first Stinger had a button problem and would only stay in the "on" position. This issue happened after 3 years of pretty substantial abuse - extreme heat, being dropped, rain, and dirt/dust build up. But, despite that little issue, Streamlight took great care of me when my first Stinger had an issue. I sent the light in, they fixed it FREE OF CHARGE AND SENT IT BACK QUICKLY!!! I love Streamlight products and the way they take care of their customers. If you need a good, solid flashlight, this is the one! 5So far, so good I purchased this as a duty flashlight. For the past few years I've used cheap Ultafire/Trustfire lights. I did this because the LED's used by Streamlight and Surefire were about a year behind LED lumen output production. Paying $100+ for a 100 lumen light vs $20 for 900 lumen light just didn't seem smart at the time. To update past lights (Maglites, Stingers) I've used Terralux drop ins which are a great product. Now it seems that Streamlight and other brands are at least in the same ballpark as to what LED's they use. Streamlight still uses Nimh/NiCd batteries (Like my RC car in the 80's) which is a bit of a disappointment.The case is built solid with a good feel. The handle is just long enough to fit under my arm when I need to write something and need my hands free. The HL beam pattern is similar to my other lights, but much crisper at the edges. There is a distinct area that is illuminated. The Hot spot is bright and large enough for what I need, while the secondary wide throw has good even lighting. The differences between Hi-med-low modes is little. The electronics (Not batteries) in my old flashlights were failing in the cold 20 degree weather, so I stuck this flashlight in my freezer for a couple hours. After removing the flashlight from the freezer it worked flawlessly. I give it an A+ for cold weather use. Overall I'm impressed and if it remains reliable, I'll be back for more. 4I have already dropped it a couple times and it takes the hit like its nothing BRIGHT AS HELL! I bought this flashlight with an Amazon gift card which is the only reason that I would have been okay with paying that much. I'm going into law enforcement so I figured I needed a reliable backup flashlight and although I haven't yet tested the reliability to much of an extent, I have already dropped it a couple times and it takes the hit like its nothing. The flashlight is brighter than really any flashlight I've used, brighter than the million candle lanterns that we use on the boat. It may possibly be too bright for certain situations as it isn't great for looking in cabinets or working on cars. But for outdoor uses it is great. The button on the back is very convenient and it's nice that the charger also has a second battery and a second battery charger so that the flashlight and the spare battery can both be charging at the same time. The lumens are lower than other flashlights that are slightly more expensive but this light is a lot brighter than I expected. I would definitely recommend to anyone who spends any time outside at night. 5It's a great flashlight. I would give a 5 star review ... It's a great flashlight. I would give a 5 star review but I purchased another stinger (from army/navy/law enforcement store) and used it for less than 4 months before it began to act up. First it wouldn't turn off then it would be stuck on strobe then it wouldn't stay on if you released the button until it finally stopped working. My biggest issue was that I contacted Streamlight based on being told by everyone about their warranty. That was over 4 months ago and still haven't received a response. Decided I would just purchase another one. They are extremely bright and a perfect duty light for law enforcement, the interior of vehicles are illuminated perfectly and leave occupants temporarily blinded. 3Best Overall Flashlight! Super Bright Flashlight! I have been a Surefire fan for a long time however was never fully happy because Surefire does not make a reliable rechargeable flashlight that is this powerful. After getting this and comparing it to the Surefire, they are almost exactly the same. The 1000 lumen Surefire P3X Fury is the same as this 640 lumen light. I was skeptical however now I am thankful I bought this. Will definitely be getting rid of the Surefire flashlight. Definitely Recommended. 5Buy this product from Streamlight not Amazon. Great quality when it works.Had to send one back because it broke. The internal parts of the flashlight began to malfunction 2 days after I received it from amazon. Light would cycle through the different brightness options and would not turn off.Received another one from amazon and had the same problem. Fortunately Streamlight has a great warranty program I was able to get it fixed through an authorized Streamlight technician. (Visit Streamlight s website to find one near you). It continued to have the same problem 2 more times. Fortunately the place that serviced my flashlight was kind enough to give me a brand new one from their inventory and took my old one.Haven t had the problem since.My suggestion buy this product from Streamlight. 3It mounted quite nicely in the rear of my 4Runner After over 2 decades of Law Enforcement this is the brightest, most reliable light I've ever experienced. It mounted quite nicely in the rear of my 4Runner. 52 years of use and no issues I ve had this light for about 2 years with no issues. I used it for about a year and a half then I switched to the Streamlight Strion hl, which is the same lumens but half the size of the stinger. Didn t want to carry more than I needed to and that was a simple fix. However the stinger met all my expectations and I keep this as my around the house flashlight . I ve never had an issue with it and I expect this light to last a long time.Keep in mind this is the hl, high lumen, so it s focus is on the flooded of light look as opposed to focusing in on small objects at a far distance. This light does have a nice beam but the strion led beam is probably better, if not the same. I believe this light is rated around the 700 lumen mark, but I m not exactly sure. Seems like with Streamlight products they re always ready for what you throw at them.Will update if problems arise (I doubt they will) 5Streamlight 75429 Stinger Flashlight My husband got this flashlight for work to replace one that he bought a few years ago. He is a mechanic and uses it at work to light up dark areas in the motor that a normal flashlight just can brighten. He demonstrated it for me to see how powerful it is and it actually shined all the way across the street lighting up the front of the neighbor's house. He aimed it up in the air and I could actually see the beam of light shining up into the sky. It's definitely the brightest flashlight I have ever seen. And it's not heavy either. 5Very bright, and reliable. Nice and bright. Hard to put back into charger, so I hold the end and gently slam it into the charger then push or pull to get the red charging lights to light up. I rotate between two, and have never had an issue.Light throws far enough for a UPS driver to see clearly an address because some people think having house numbers that blend into the house color is wise. Contrasting numbers, people. Unobstructed, simple font, contrasting colors, and clear from the road. It's not a secret when you are expecting a package, so drive by your house at the posted speed limit and see how clear your number is to see. 5
