    You get what you pay for....sort of. I thought I'd save a few bucks and bought this in the scratched and dented section. It did say some cosmetic issues may be present and that was true. Had 2 black scuff marks and the control handle was chipped and cracked. I can live with these because they warned me, but the unit arrived without ANY mounting hardware. It did contain the 2 mounting brackets that attach to the rail but no other hardware. There was a plastic bag in the box that was open on both ends but now hardware was inside............. The cost of the missing hardware is negligible but not sure what size of whatever to buy. The unit seemed decent when I plugged it in and ran it so I hope I can figure out the hardware issue so I can mount and use the unit. 3Good reliable hoist Shipping was very fast, hoist works very good, saves my back from lifting heavy things, I lift the front of my lawn tractor and change or sharpen blades with out lying on the floor, I adapted the hoist to a barn door rail and rollers, now I can lift and roll anything outside and load it with ease. Lift is fast and strong. 5Works precisely as advertised. I mounted my hoist directly to a 4x8 beam using two pairs 6 in. angle brackets. It seems very secure. In my application it would have been nice if the control and power cords had been about a foot or so longer, but they work fine.I'm 85 and just use the hois to lift log carriers of firewood, heavy grocery sacks, or luggage about five feet above my carport floor so that I can swing the load a foot or so over the stoop going into my house. Small chore that makes my day. Just what I needed. 5Easy install, works great. Used this hoist to hang the hard top for my International Scout from my garage ceiling. It weighs about 130 pounds. Easy install and works like a champ. 5Works Great This hoist is awesome. I have a folding Trailer that is very heavy and awkward to fold and put upright to store. This hoist works perfect! Not only did it make folding and lifting the trailer effortless, I actually unintentionally lifted the entire trailer on first use! Used angle iron and lag bolts to mount to ceiling joists in garage. 5This hoist works perfect for what it's intended for This hoist works perfect for what it's intended for. Every person I've had see it wants to take a ride up to the ceiling on it. I wish it had an option to mount it to a 2x6, but I was able to find a pole and mount the pole to a 2x6. You'll need to think about how you're going to mount it. 5Great for removing and replacing a fifth wheel hitch in a pickup This hoist is everything I was hoping for. It's bolted to a board that lays across several ceiling joists in my garage next to the garage door opener. It is used to lift a 200 lb fifth wheel hitch from the bed of my truck when I need to use the truck for other than towing a fifth wheel. An eye bolt with 3" flat washer slips into the hitch jaws. I lift the unit a foot or two, drive out of the garage, and let the hitch down onto a furniture dolly (Harbor Freight) and push it over where it's stored. I have the cable doubled mostly to slow the unit down when setting the hitch back down into the rails in the truck bed. 5This 120 volt winch has a thousand uses! I ... This 120 volt winch has a thousand uses! I use it to lift my garden tractor to remove the mowing deck and then putting it back on . Rolling the 48" deck is a lot easier than trying to slide the deck side ways under the tractor by hand. i can lift the front end of the tractor and clean the deck in no time and don't even have to take toe deck off to clean! Lewis b 5A nice addition to my garage. I purchased this to aid in my lawn equipment to either service the machines or to switch attachments easily. I installed the hoist over the ceiling joists in the garage with a 1 1/4" steel bar laying on the beams. I secured the bar so it can't roll off the beams. I plugged in the 120V plug into a ceiling plug 5' away.It works well and I'm very satisfied with the unit and for the price I paid. For fun I placed a strap over a craftsman lawn tractor and lifted the rear wheels off the floor without a strain on the hoist or the garage beams. Wow! it was nearly off the floor!Yes this hoist will save me a lot of work in the future. 5This is made cleaning a deer so easy for my husband This is made cleaning a deer so easy for my husband. It doesn't great job lifting today and adjusting to any height. He has also used to change the blades on the riding lawnmower. He says he doesn't know how he survive so many years without it. Bought it through warehouse deals and could not tell it from brand new 5
