    Diameter too short even with other Smallrig products I have purchased a set and when I tightened the clamp the rods would fall off. At first I thought it was a bad luck so I purchased another pair, but had the same issue. At last I put Lanparte 8 rods back, and returned these. I would really like to have 6 carbon fiber rods, but it seems thus is not possible right now. 1sturdy, and does its job I bought these thinking they were going to be some faux knock off carbon fiber rods. But these are the real deal.Light weight, sturdy, and does its job. 5If they are used as lightweight support bars that can have two points of contact between the bars then they are fantastic. The carbon rods are certainly strong and made very well, yet I had a hard time with single devices rolling on one bar as locking any device onto a single rail couldn't find any grip. I just couldn't get it tight enough no matter how hard I tightened it.For example, getting my remote follow focus to lock down on only one bar simply wasn't successful.If they are used as lightweight support bars that can have two points of contact between the bars then they are fantastic. 3Lightweight and Sturdy I was pretty impressed with these Carbon Fiber rods. SmallRig has come a long way in their quality control and it really shows. They look a lot better than the rods that came with my rig as well which is a nice plus! Overall I couldn t ask for anything more as they have held up for a few months now to heavy use with a lot of weight put on them. 5Imprecisely manufactured, smaller than standard These rods are about 0.5-0.25mm smaller than 15mm, which meant that they didn t fit my intended purpose, to replace the viewfinder rod on an FS7. Also clamps with sharp edges scratch the rods, which I guess is a trade off for the light weight, but still something to be aware of. Things also tend to slip more, so beware of using these for anything other than a mattebox or lens support that holds both rods and doesn t depend on gripping just one, like a focus motor. 3Perfect addition to any rig These rails are great. Real light weight, with a silky smooth finish. I swapped them with the dense aluminum rails that came with my Gini Rig extreme kit, & they really helped in reducing the overall weight. I liked them so much I also bought an 8" pair.I also use their BMPCC cage, & magic arm. Can't go wrong with any Smallrig product.Don't hesitate to purchase, price is great. 5Strong and Light Very light and very strong. I needed something smaller to make the rig more portable. The eight inches is long enough to allow a follow focus to be attached to the overall setup. Compared to aluminum these carbon fiber rods feel almost weightless. The surface of these rods are a matte / dull surface which allow for better grip when clamping down your gear. 5Excellent product for the price Excellent product for the price! These are about 1/2 the weight of aluminum tubes, and they are just about as strong. The price doesn't show a realistic image, it has a nice matte finish which is great for grip. Plus it has strong 2mm thick walls for no flexing. 5Solid, Strong, kind of suspiciously heavy (not shockingly light at least) Seem very solid, although they are heavier than I thought they would be, definitely have a beefy wall thickness, so that might explain the weight, but I'm leaning towards these not being solid carbon fiber? 4Excellent gear at an excellent price I have used SmallRig on my GH4 and my EVA1. My EVA1 is outfitted with their camera cage, rail system, lens support, battery mount, and evf mount. All the gear works perfectly with the EVA1 and the price is perfect. Highly recommend SmallRig. I will buy much more as my needs grow. Thanks SmallRig! 5
