No more skating across my living room on the couch To be frank I was a little skeptical about these given the cost and the fact that they suggest not using any adhesive. Happily, these pads work great and were exactly what I needed.My problem was related to the fact that we purchased a new couch and chair and they slid all over the place when I sat down on them. This was a result of the fact that the couch and chair's feet rest on our hardwood floor. While the "no marring" buttons attached to the feet of the couch and chair protected the floor, they acted like roller skates every time I sat down on the furniture,As you can see in the picture each large pad is pre-scored with multiple sizes of smaller pads (for tables, bar stools, etc).To use these pads you just take a pair of scissors, figure out what size of pad you need, then cut along the scored lines. After making the cuts you simply lift up each corner of your furniture, slide the cut-out pad under the lifted leg, lower the furniture onto the pad, and "rinse and repeat" for each corner. The weight of the furniture is more than enough to keep the pads in place.I've been using these for a couple of weeks now and the slipping / sliding of the furniture is a thing of the past. For cost and simplicity of use these pads get 5 stars from me. 5Don t workDidn t stay put. These have no adheasive to stick them on and keep the item from moving.2Works better than glue I bought these because my sofa kept sliding all over my tile floor. I only put the pads under the 2 front legs. Later that evening, my husband asked me, quite seriously, if I had glued the sofa to the floor. It seems that when the sofa didn't move as expected when he sat down, he attempted to push it across the floor, and was unable to budge it even an inch.They're just cheap little pads made of some grey wooly type batting fluff that have a textured rubber coating on either side. But they definitely work! I'll buy more if I ever need them, but they cut down in size quite nicely, and there are 4 pads(I only used one pad for all my living room furniture), so unless I go on a furniture buying spree, they seem like they'll last for a good amount of time. 5Works like magic! If I could give this product more stars I would!! I just wish I d found it a long time ago! One day I was complaining to my mom about my sectional sliding around on my wood floors and separating and driving me crazy so she got on here and found these, and they are amazing! At first glance I didn t that they were actually going to grip that well. I purchased these for my bed frame. I have hardwood floors in my bedroom and an ikea malm bed frame. Previous adult bedroom actives would leave my bed sliding halfway across the floor. Sounded like we were trying to move furniture in the middle of the night. I cut these pads in half length wise. The width of them were perfect for the width of the bed frame. I put one half on each of the 4 corners, and another piece in the middle of the footboard end. Last night was the first night they were put to the test. Let me say, they were worth every penny. My bed frame didn t move so much as an inch. Even when our game of twister went into overtime. Would gladly recommend these to anyone looking to stop any furniture from moving. They really did an excellent job. 5Did not stay on chairDid not stay on my recliner on carpet.There must be better options.1No more roller coaster rides in the living room!We put down a beautiful laminate in our living room. One problem-kids have no idea how to sit in a chair. They jump, slide, or hop into chairs-that slide all over the floor. We tried grippers for jars to no avail! These things are amazing! I ve got hardwood floors in my living room and a large blue three section couch that sits in the middle of it. It isn t pressed up against any walls so it tends to slide around effortlessly when pushed even slightly.I love to watch movies with my wife while she scratches my back. I would sit on the floor and she would lay on the couch and dangle her legs over. Unfortunately when i leaned back against the couch it would slide all over the place.That led me to look for a solution to the case of the sliding couch. I like this product for the following reasons:- no adhesive necessary-small foot print-economical (not cheap)-effective (I can t move the couch without lifting it now)This product has led to a 50% increase in back scratches without any couch movement! 5Floor damage.The pad stuck to the floor after a few months of use. Do not recommend.1Stained hardwood floorGood padding but unfortunately stained our hard wood floor.2Great to keep furniture in place on slippery wood floors!! I probably didn't read as closely as I should have. I assumed this product had an adhesive side...but it doesn't. When I realized this, I was skeptical that it would work. But to my surprise, it does!!!! We live in a small space so I've raised the toddler's bed to get extra storage, this means she needs to use an ottoman to step get onto her bed...and being a toddler she is also inclined to jump on the ottoman which slides across the wood floor- not ideal. So I got these grippers. They're impressive! I just cut one sheet into four squares and put them down under each of the ottoman's feet. That's when I discovered the ottoman's feet are squares with small half spheres on the bottom, so I'm glad I didn't have to figure out how to get an adhesive to attach, that would've been a pain. Once the ottoman was where I wanted it I gave it a gentle test kick...no movement. So I got more aggressive and kicked and kicked and kicked...it didn't budge! I'm so happy with these grippers! And with no adhesive to worry about, I can rearrange the room with no hassle. Also great for renters who don't want to worry about adhesive damage to floors or furniture. 5Permanent damage to hardwood floorsCan these damage your hardwood floors? Yes!Unfortunately we purchased these and used them throughout our brand new house. After moving a sofa forward about 6 inches, we discovered the damage created with less than 2 years use. The worst part of the damage was caused by the product sticking to and pulling up the floor's polyurethane coating in irregular chunks.Attached are two photos that show the damage - the first photo is in natural light, the second is in a black light.If you're wondering, we did not ever use the two sided tape. Also, I went through the house to look at places we used these pads and found that it did not matter if if you placed the gripper right side or wrong side up, the UV stamp was left anywhere the product stayed in contact with the floor. Also, not every installation caused natural-light-visible damage but all did leave UV-visible evidence.1Don t stick for long and slide off leaving adhesive behindWorked great upon first applying them to the legs of the furniture. However, they slid off and left behind a black sticky mess.1Failed Miserably & Damaged Hardwood FloorsAt first glance, these pads seem decent with an adequate layer of rubber on either side. However, after about a month on a single chair recliner, the product has literally disintegrated into a useless mush. One, I cleaned the surface of the recliner "feet" with alcohol to ensure a strong bond with the provided double-sided tape. Two, the recliner wasn't moved around so the grippers weren't damaged from that. Number three is I'm quite agitated with the failure of the product which has consequently damaged my hardwood flooring. Will be returning the remaining product for a refund and will go back to the felt pads that work excellent despite not gripping as well.1
