    i woukd not buy this againI was somewhat disappointed after applying the screen cover. The streaks/bubbles never went away & it's almost aa permanemt cover once it dries. I was extremely worried as I removed it--the amount of presse exerted on the screen in pulli g up to peel it off. I kept one thumb on the screen itself as I slooooowly pulled it off due to the permanency of its adhesive. 1Almost PerfectI bought and installed Skinomi screen protectors on two items, a Nook Color and a Viewsonic G-Pad. Surprisingly, it was easier to install on the larger 10.1 inch Viewsonic than on the 7 inch Nook Color. Note that you must THOROUGHLY clean the screen before installation, or anything on it will be trapped under the protector until you remove it. Also, be very careful in positioning the screen protector for installation. If it is not aligned properly, it can be peeled back and reposistioned, but it is prone to stretching if you are not very careful. That said, this item has more pluses than minuses. Pluses: It is much less prone to fingerprint smudges than the original screes. It protects the screens from dirt buildup, which can, especially in the case of the Nook Color, lead to "twitchiness" of screen response. It does protect the screen against scratches, althought the protector will show scratches more readily than the glass screen. It does give some glare reduction, but not enought to allow use in sunlight. Minuses: Only one, and that is although the manufacturer says all bubbles under the protector will eventually go away, that has not been my experience. They are not noticible when the device is on, but are appoarent when the screen is dark. Skinomi does offer a lifetime replacement warranty, so it it really annoys you, you can try again . 4Skinomi ALL the electronicsI have one of these on all my tablets, phones, etc, and simply put, they are the BEST screen protectors ever. It's all about prep and application. Take your time, RTFM, and you'll love these things. Their logistics dept sucks, and shipping is slow, but 5 stars for the product. 5Held my screen together event after the fallThis was my second skinomi skin, and it went on easily and the bubbles were gone in a couple of days.My NC got thrown across the room by accident (flipped out of the bedsheets and into the dresser), and even through the screen shattered underneath, the skin held everything together (think car windshield). 5Skinomi = hands down, the best!!Have used many electronic screen covers before I found Skinomi--now use this brand for everything! Loved my Droid phone screen protector, my Nook color protector, and now my iPhone protector. Customer service is awesome and has helped me numerous times with lifetime replacements for the 7 items I have purchased for myself and my husband. Highly recommend!!!! 5Good Screen Protector For Nook ColorPurchased this screen protector for a Nook Color after reading many reviews of many different types of similar products. This product is a soft, polyurethane film, as a result, the finger feel during use is a soft, rubbery surface which has noticeably more friction during use than with other types made with harder plastic films. Idoes reduce glare somewhat versus the glass screen alone, but it does not eliminate glare. It does not make the Nook Color easily readable while at the beach or outdoors on a sunny day; you'll have to play with screen color, brightness etc.to figure out how to compfortably read your e-reader under these types of situations. Also, being soft and relatively higher friction, the film may be easier to damage with a sharp edge or fingernail than the harder, glossier film protectors and it may not function well with a stylus (I have no experience using a stylus with this film). The film is not difficult to apply if you follow the directions carefully and if you are patient during application. You must liberally spray the screen with a soap solution (supplied) and apply the film, adhesive side down while touching the adhesive layer minimally with your fingertips. Once the film is "floating" on top of the soapy water layer, slide it around into position and then gently hold it there. Then, using the cardboard "squeegy" (supplied) press the soapy water out towards the edges until the film is adhered to the glass. Use a paper towel to absorb the liquid at the edge of the film. Gently coax any air bubbles to the edges to eliminate them from the screen. In my case, I ended up with one small bubble (~1/8 inch diameter) that wouldn't move to the edge, but after about 2-3 weeks, it had shrunk down to invisible. Be careful, only one screen saver comes in a package, so if you damage the one, you're out of luck and will be buying another one. I am going on one year and I have no regrets about purchasing this screen saver. If I had to start over, I may not purchase any screen savers at all since I am not as rough on the screen as I have been in the past with PDAs and cel phones. However, the higher friction of the film does get tiring after using the Nook for long periods, so harder type plastic screen protectors may be better for some people. 3100% clear, no bubles, no image distortion, good feelingI've tried several screen protectors for several of my devices, and this one is one of the best.There are 2 basic types of protectors: clear and anti-glare.In my experience, anti-glare is a waste of money. The cut glare by a very insignificant amount (despite of what they claim), but they RUIN the image. Everything becomes very grainy and polarized as you change your angle of view on the screen.I would advise against getting anti-glare screens, and getting this one instead.PROs:- 100% clear, no image distortion- Pleasant feeling when swiping the finger - not too ruberry, not to dry.- Super easy application - spray their solution, apply the screen, wipe, wait a day or so. Done.- Low price.- Super fast shipping (I got mine in 2 days, my friend got the same in 3 or so days - USA, California).- No bubbles when dry and applied properly.- Sticks to the screen like superglue, very strong attachment.CONs:- If you'll dry it with blow-dryer, be very careful, it will stretch and stick unevenly. I learned the hard way.- Got to wait for 1-2 days for all the moisture to evaporate. Can still use the device in the meantime, just won't be pretty.- Terrible plastic squeegee - it will actually SCRATCH your protector if you're not careful. DON'T USE IT! Just use a towel or your fingers.Advice:- Turn off your device completely- Follow the instructions to the letter- Wash your hands thoroughly- Apply in a high-humidity shower room- Use generous amount of solution- Apply from one side to another, squeezing out the bubbles as you cover more area- DO NOT use their squeegee - it'll leave scratch-like marks. Use your finger or something else. That thing is terrible.- Let it dry, it'll look good only after a day or two. 5Skinomi is the best right nowThis was the first Skinomi brand screen protector I have used and it applied so much easier than other brands I have used. It dried clear and quick and looks perfect. You can barely tell its there. It also has no orange peel effect like some other brands. Since this purchase I have used several more Skinomi screen protectors for other electronics. I got the same perfect results and now will only use Skinomi. 5Must Have!IMHO, this is a must have item for your Nook! My wife loves hers and we have Skinomi on the screens of all our phones/devices. 5Just OK so far- 24 hour wait to use device after applicationI just received this item yesterday, and Just now applied it to my nook color. It fits pretty well. If you want a precise edge to edge fit this is not for you. If you are looking for pretty close and will cover the entire screen and most of the glass edge this will work. BUT be fair warned*****YOU CAN NOT USE YOUR DEVICE FOR 12-24 HOURS AFTER APPLYING********. There is no mention of this till the very last step of the directions that state "allow 12 to 24 hours after installation before turning on the device". I would have like to know this before I purchased the product.Also when they tell you wet fingertips the really mean it, the back of the "skin" is coated the adhesive and you will leave finger prints in the adhesive unless your fingers are wet. I would recommend just using the included spray to wet your fingers with. Also keep in mind that you cannot use the device until the skin is dry. This means the more you spray on the back of the skin the longer it will take to dry, BUT the easier it is to "slide" the skin around into place.Will update later with how it is after drying and usage. well it's months later, and I'm not thrilled, seems to cause the accuracy of the screen to be off with touching and tapping. also the sensitivity seems to be dulled. but I guess it's better than an unprotected screen. 3
