Customer Reviews

Don't do itArrived brokenHad to buy and replace the toggle switch 1DOES WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TOPerforms well for my needs however I have it mounted on a footpedal and wish it had a sturdier switch and even an LED light to see which circuit is chosen. 4Very low quality switch - deal breakerI suspected the switch was going to be weak when I ordered the unit. I recieved the unit and moved the switch left then right and it stuck so I could never move it again.. Very poor quality switch. My advice is to charge 2 or 3 dollars more and put a nice rocker switch on the unit.. I returned the unit for a refund and will keep looking for something similar but with a better switch. 1Great!! I was curious to see if it ...Great!! I was curious to see if it would work as I expected because I was completely doubtful that this kind of device would exist. Well it exist and does and awesome job. I purchased two of them so I could switch between and AV pre/pro and a mix board. Connections are really tight and so far I haven't experienced any issue. I have only tested them in the original intended direction (different A/B source selection) so two inputs and one output. I think it says it can work reversal so one input and a choice of two outputs. 5Great for switching XLR microphonesWorking great for my use. I am a ham and I use XLR microphones. I also have a wireless microphone system I use when I am out in my yard or in other areas of the house. Using the SES-XLR-AB I don't have to mess with plugging and unplugging microphones, I just have to switch to which microphone I want to use. 5BROKEN SWITCH RIGHT OUT OF THE BOXWhat more can I say? It's cheap plastic housing with a crappy switch. having to send it back and order another. Might commission a custom box made out of metal from a real engineer and put these people out of business! Will review again when my replacement arrives. 1Design could be updated, but works perfectly! It seems to be the only such thing of its kind; and when you need one, it will do the job for you.Somebody else here complained about the plastic housing, and while I would have preferred a metal box, this plastic box feels strong enough as long as you're not using it on stage or in a non-professional area. If you are, I suspect that the switch will break/short before the box really takes major damage, unless someone steps on it.One thing I really don't like about it, and for which I took off a star, is the placement of the components. In my case, I have snake connections coming in behind a console, and lines running into the back of that console. So It would have been reasonable to plug my two snake channels into the back of this (can do), and then also plug the short line that goes to my single board/console channel into the back right next to them (can't do--the "output" channel comes out the front of the box, or the right side depending on orientation). So I would rather sit the thing with the wide axis going left to right on top of my board, with the switch on the front, and the three XLRs in a line on the back. Instead, they built it like a Y-cable, with 2 XLRs on one side, and one on the other, and the switch on one of the short edges. I wouldn't mind the switch staying on the short edge, to give you placement options, but having the connections come out both long sides was not bright.Anyway, my point is, that it doesn't fit easily in a station with a lot of other gear--you either have to use it standing on end laying between two stationary pieces for stability, or give it a lot of (relatively) extra desk real estate for the three cables that extend from two sides of it. I suspect most users will be in some such situation, where being able to route all three cables out one side of the device would be preferable, no matter which orientation you use the thing in.All that said, it worked like a charm in my last minute channel-switching emergency application, and design preferences aside, I couldn't be more pleased that someone does make one of these! 4Expected more. Stuck Switch.Mine arrived with the A/B Switch stuck in the A position. The box is made of plastic. That was a surprise. I'm going to return it and I'm sad that I haven't even had a chance to try it out. Oh well. I will continue to look for an CLR AB Switch. I was really looking forward to this one. 1Great Solution for switching 2 different sources.Great, well built product that lets me plug 2 different audio interfaces in and easily switch them between the same set of monitor speakers. Totally passive so degradation of sound. 5Arrived brokenProduct arrived in nothing but a plastic bag. The A/B switch was loose and I was unable to select either channel. For how much this product costs, it seems to be cheaply made.Ordered another unit. Will update with how well the device works, assuming the second one actually does.Update: I received a replacement unit and the switch and unit work. The switch still seems extremely fragile, so just note that this is not a road-worthy box. 3
