    Four StarsSmall footprint but hold a lot of paper. 4Is as advertisedIs as advertised 3Quality is badShipping took 6 days which was within an acceptable time frame. Quality of the safe is bad. Key insert was not smooth. There was an unknown powder around the lock when I opened it, which was weird. Inside the safe, the bottom was not flat and a big crack was in the middle of it. It looked like it was resealed. There were hard, sharp pieces of plastic that almost cut my hand. I am not sure I got an refurbish one or a defective one. 1Hopefully I'll never need it.Short of having to dig this out of a burnt out home I can't really vouch for it's effectiveness. I do know it's big enough for what I need and has finally allowed me to consolidate paperwork and prompted me to get rid of a lot of old redundant stuff. It's bigger than the older smaller one we had that we didn't use as much as a result. This is big and heavy but that speaks to it's effectiveness I hope. The lock looks like it's there only for convenience, easily defeated with a letter opener or such. That's the only thing keeping it from 5 stars. 4WonderfulI bought this going into my first year at college. I was going far away and did not know any of my roommates or what kind of environment i would be living in. So to be on the safe side, because i am that person who has that kind of humorous bad luck you see in movies. I got a mini fridge with a lock on it and this safe. Need less to say as expected i need both the safe and locking fridge. The safe is awkward to carry which make it hard to take if someone decided they wanted it. small enough to hide. It was at a good price and arrived on time. I have yet to have it go through a fire and hope i wont need to see if that feature work. 5Great firesafe.Amazon has this at a wonderful price at the time of this review. It is large enough to keep a decent amount of documents and discs, and a few other valuables in. As intended, it is a firesafe - not burglar proof, so don't expect it to be. It is small enough to hide though and has no handles so can be a little awkward to carry around for its weight. I think that is a positive thing for security. Highly recommended. 5Solid. Problem with keysThis safe is generally what you'd expect it to be. It's solid, a good size for personal files (hanging folders fit well). I haven't had a fire or flood, so I don't know how it holds up. One minor annoyance: you can't remove the keys unless it is in the locked position. I have no reason to lock it (I'm not using it to keep people out, just to protect my files in case of fire). So I either have to lock it (and risk losing the keys), or keep the keys sticking out the front at all times (which is annoying). Other than that, the product is fine,. 4Stong, sturdy, and big.This is a great product to lock up your valuables in. I have 2 of these now. Was delivered to a neighbors house, glad he let me know. 5Great safe for fire protectionI bought this safe for primarily fire protection. The lock on the box will keep out kids and other people who may just be walking buy but would certainly open for anyone who spent a few minutes on it.Pros:-sturdy-decent looking-looks like it could handle a fire for 1/2 hour with no trouble-good sized interiorCons:-the lock (Like I said this is not meant to protect from theft, more for privacy. You will be spending at least 25 dollars more if you want a decent lock)Other thoughts:-its very heavy as you would expectI am very happy with my purchase. 5Just rightThis safe is exactly what I needed. If it were larger, or heavier, it would be less useful and yet it holds a large number of hanging files. It is made to hold these files and probably might not be the best configuration for loose papers. If it is put on the floor in a closet, it does have a small footprint. I wouldn't think of it as safe from burglars because one could pick it up and take it and the simple lock could certainly be overcome, but it would keep kids and other nosey people out and probably delay thieves long enough that they might pass it by. It is also easily hidden away.I might have preferred a combination lock for convenience, but the simple mechanism requires a key and this is a minor issue.I love it and am going through my things selecting documents and other important files to store in it. It just keeps holding more without being cramped. I certainly recommend using the hanging files for which it is designrd. 5
