    Broke After A WeekThe telescoping arm collapsed into itself after a couple of uses and won't extend correctly anymore. Also feels extremely flimsy when extended even half way. I'd go with a different product next time around, this one while cheap isn't even worth what they charge. 1Great, handy, powerful tool.Works great. Already put it to use finding a "lost" needle on my living room carpet and also picked up a "lost" paring knife that fell into a space far down behind my kitchen cabinet.It's great to have an extendable wand with a powerful magnet on the end. I love this tool. 5Super strong magnetCareful with these, can hold itself horizontally while fully extended and stuck to the fridge. My kids have pinched their fingers while messing around with it. Can pick up a handful of screws with one pass. 5Super strong! Almost too strong.Super strong magnet. The head is a little big to fit in tight spots. Magnet is strong enough to get bolts and nuts started on the threads then release, however the magnet is so strong, it will often get stuck on things you don't want it to in an engine compartment for instance. 4Very strong!I'm a quadriplegic so I have no finger function. I drop everything so I use these magnets to pick up whatever. Very strong. Will pick up a claw hammer, a 1/2" drive ratchet with a socket. Just about anything that I drop. 5Will lift 2 to 3 pounds. Has a 7/8" diameter head, so not for tight spaces. Way too bulky to go into a shirt pocket.Mine will pick up a 5 lb. cast iron skillet, only if I take the time to find the center of gravity, firmly place the magnet there & ease the skillet up very, very slowly. With a 3 lb. tool, unless it has a metal face at least a wide as the face of the magnet, forget it. No joy. Good up to about 2 lbs. for most ferric objects.Unfortunately, the magnetic end has a 7/8" diameter, so it cannot reach down into tight spaces. It is a little over 7" long & not exactly lightweight, way too big to carry around in a shirt pocket. At first, I thought it was only 26" long, but with some work & penetrating oil, I finally got the smallest part of the telescoping rod to come out without breaking it. Once I finally got the smallest section to come out, it was indeed 30" long.Even coming out the packaging, a little of the chrome is flaking off the steel that surrounds the magnet. I assume it will continue to flake off, so if looks matter a great deal to you, you'll want to pay a little more for something better. If with all the qualifications you are still interested, you will have a magnetic pick-up that is slightly more durable than some of the really lightweight ones. As long as the keep the price at $5, if down the road I needed another, I would consider purchasing this again. 4Very useful tool... How did I fet by before this?? :-)The PERFECT gadget to pick up paperclips or anything else metal that falls behind the furniture. This should be a staple in every household. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this is not the smaller pen-sized telescoping magnet we actually thought we were ordering. This is actually much more substantial in size, though still small enough to reach behind appliances or underneath furniture to retrieve errant screws and the like.We haven't encountered any issues in durability with either of them... my husband even rolled over his with his office chair at work and his is still working just fine and has no damage.The magnet is quite strong, and I've found that handy a few times already - I accidentally knocked my reading glasses off the back of the washer and was able to retrieve them with this. It was strong enough to attach itself to the metal hinges on the arms of the glasses and allowed me to draw them straight up into the air from behind the machine.I think we'll be giving a few of these as stocking stuffers this year. 5Ever drop that MUST needed bolt/washer/nut or your favorite screwdriver that's always in reachEver drop that MUST needed bolt/washer/nut or your favorite screwdriver that's always in reach, but now its not because you can't reach it. Well now you can, I bought the SE Telescoping Magnetic Pick-Up extension rods in 5, 15, and 20 pound pull capacity. The 20lb pull and pick up the smallest (8") pipe wrench with ease. I HIGHLY recommend to anyone to order THESE. Rubber handle for better gripping and mine came with a pocket clip. 5Not bad at all.Used this after I dropped a screwdriver into a 13 speed eaton fuller transmission. Fished it out with ease. Seems to have a enough holding power to get most stuff picked up. Only issue is the head is a little wide and is challenging to get into tighter spots. 4
