Great for Aerating wine, but be careful that you remove the rubber seal from your wine bottle. It aerates the wine very nicely and with a careful hand when pouring it doesn't drip. However, the black rubber seal gets stuck in the bottle and you have to remember to remove it from the bottle. That is a bit annoying as I have accidentally thrown the bottle away only to have to dig in the trash to get that rubber seal back out. I am not sure it should actually come off but ours did within a few times of use. 4Wine aerating pourer definitely improves the taste I've wanted an aerator for wine for quite a while. I chose the Metrokane Rabbit Wine Aerating Pourer because it actually fits in the mouth of the wine bottle so every drop is poured through it.When I received it, I opened a nice red wine to test it - I had to, right? ' I poured a bit into one glass directly and the same amount into another glass using this aerating pourer. Tasting both, I do believe the wine I used the Metrokane pourer on was a bit smoother and just better.Although not dishwasher safe, washing it by hand has been pretty easy.I think the Metrokane Rabbit Wine Aerating Pourer would make a nice little host/hostess gift for anyone who is into wine. I'll be picking up another one to keep on hand for last-minute gifts. 5A Little Slow To Be Named Rabbit This thing works pretty well to aerate the wine, but you have to be patient- it will take you a while to pour 4 glasses with it. When I bought it I was thinking it would be great for parties, but after using it, I would not trust a bunch of people slinging these around in my house; it's pretty messy. Seems next to impossible to prevent drips- they aren't usually big drips, but enough to make a mess, and I haven't found a way yet to use it without ending up with a drip. I haven't had any trouble with different sized bottles as another reviewer said; it fits and seals nicely, but the business end of the device just doesn't drain back the way you would want it to when you have finished a pour. I doubt this will be used all of the time. 3This one is absolutely terrible. No matter what bottle it is used in ... We purchased our 2nd Rabbit Aerator after the first one wore out after a long time of using it. This one is absolutely terrible. No matter what bottle it is used in it leaks all over the place. Seems manufacturer has changed something in their product for the worse. Beware. 1Worth it! I recommend this product. It isn t as good as decanting a wine and letting it breathe for an hour, but it s serviceable, and allows you to enjoy a bottle extemporaneously. 4so far she has loved it! We have tried it with multiple wines ... This was a gift for my mother, so far she has loved it! We have tried it with multiple wines (with & without aeration)- seems to smooth out the taste and bring out more flavor in most of the ones we've tried so far. Does need to be hand washed of course, but fits well in the bottles so far & the fact that it's a nice clear plastic instead of glass makes my mom feel more comfortable that it's not going to shatter while pouring. Came in a very nice storage case, so far no complaints! 5Very pleased with this purchase Normally I don't leave reviews but I think this one deserved it. I had some guests over for a dinner and we used this on a few different wine bottles. I was skeptical at first that it would really make that much of a difference in the taste but boy, was I wrong. This is probably the best $10 purchase I've ever made. If you are an avid wine drinker, you need this.I would give the build quality an 9 out of 10. The housing is made out of a light, polished metal. The aerator itself is plastic. I am not knocking on the plastic as something like this could easily be broken. The plastic also makes it easy to store without much concern for damage. It feels SLIGHTLY flimsy which is why I am giving this an 9 but I couldn't really expect more for $10.The presentation is a 10 out of 10. For $10, they exceeded the expectation in this category.Easy of use is 10 out of 10. Again, for $10 they exceeded the expectation. No leaks or spills. Very easy to poor. 5Great aerator with a critical flaw Of all of the wine aerators I've tried this is probably the most effective at aerating wine. Unfortunately, it is also the only one that leaks. After pouring wine through the device, when the bottle is placed upright, wine dribbles out from the surface where the device connects to the bottle and leaves a ring at best, or a puddle at worst, at the base of the wine bottle. Too bad because the device works so well otherwise. If you empty the bottle all at once, its probably a 5. But if you pour a glass or two, place the bottle down and then pour some more later, I'd have to give this a 1 or a 2 and wouldn't recommend it 3Fine Product I no longer drink, but when I did I preferred red wine to white.And all the talk is of aeration and letting your wine "breathe" which I found to be overthinking and posturing on the part of most people. Granted I am not a connoisseur, but I was a drinker and "enjoyer" so my opinion did count for something, and my opinion was that if you opened a bottle, gave it a few minutes to unwind and poured it with much sloshy chugging into a wide goblet, you were good to go.However, if someone does appreciate the activity of aeration, as my father does (for whom this was a gift), it is a good product.The price is reasonable and the output consistent and apparently enhanced versus my own old method.I, on Dad's behalf, recommend this based on those facts of our own experience. 4Fun wine accessory - not sure it adds to the body or aroma I got this for my husband as a gift. It's fun and the way the wine swirls in it as it pours is entertaining. We are not fully convinced that it adds dramatically to the flavor, but we enjoy a nice bottle of red and this is a fun accessory. There's nothing to it, just plug it into the open bottle, invert the bottle mostly upside down so the wine swirls in the globe. It doesn't pour too fast and splash, which we were a little hesitant of at first. Easily rinses under warm water. It is plastic which may not be obvious if you don't read the details carefully. Have fun! 4
