Happy with product. 5Works Great Contrary to previous reviews, Everything needed to install this breaker into an existing panel was provided, screws(countersink and pan head), and tie bar; the blister park did open but the contents were not lost or damaged within the shipping carton a little skotch tape is needed to keep sealed. I must say that a template for a new install would have been very beneficial to me. I installed this two pole / 20amp breaker in an existing 5500watt generator that utilized 2- button type 20amp breakers and I needed the two 120v hots to open at the same time because I'm running 240v motors as well as 120v lights with it and the motors don't like to run with one hot dead on the event of an overload. 5Solid breaker, with just one flaw. Seems decently build, rugged enough, and worked.The wire posts were a bit awkward, though, especially for fine-braided wire. There was no plate, just a screw which doesn't fill the entire opening and doesn't come down all the way, allowing the individual wires to get pushed out to the side. I found tinning was needed to make a proper connection. Pin terminals would also work if you happen to have some lying around (but seems they're rarely sold individually) 4Standard CB Note this CB is only needed if feeding from subpanel and otherwise redundant. 4Switched everything over to Siemens Recently switched my house's load center out with Siemens gear and added a Siemens Generator-ready panel (check it out - probably cheaper than a transfer switch for portable generators and far more versatile). Anyway, there's no way you can test breakers in your house, so you basically have to trust the company that makes them. This is a company that's been building quality products for over 150 years. When it comes to my money and house, this is a best value. Good pricing from Amazon - better selection than the big box stores. I'll continue buying my Siemens switchgear from Amazon because of that. One note: These are sold as interchangable with other load centers. Siemens doesn't recommend that and the warranty may not be honored if you do use another's breaker in a Siemens panel or vice-versa. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. 5Perfect fit in my Siemens panel I installed Eaton Ultimate Surge Protection, which mounts on the outside of the power panel and needed a 50 amp double pole CB to connect the surge protector into the power panel. The surge protector connects to each of the circuit breakers leads, thereby providing protection to both phases that the breakers connect to in the panel. I have a Siemens power panel and needed a Siemens circuit breaker. Worked perfectly and I am very happy with the installation. 550amp two pole breaker As described, it is working hard supplying power to various equipment! 5Doesn't work with EATON CHSPTULTRA I choose this product because I was purchasing an Eaton CHSPTULTRA, Amazon specifically recommended it since a 50AMP breaker is needed to use the Eaton product. When I went to install the Easton surge protector today I discovered this product would not work with it. So this review is specific to using the Eaton CHSPTULTRA with it. I'm sure it works fine for its main intended uses(using solid core cable).The issue lies in the attached photos. The tightening screw that clamps down against the wire will only work with solid core, it does not work with the stranded wire used by the Eaton product. As you can see in the image, when completely screwed down there is still a large gap, as such the stranded wire is not compressed and would just be loose in the empty space. 3
