Customer Reviews

Great for computer / phone viewing, or Target PracticeThese really help warm up my mood in the early afternoons. Later, I switch to amber (orange lenses) after about 8:30. My eyes adjust very rapidly to the yellow ones in the earlier hours, so I hardly notice them. Great for computer / phone viewing without getting too much blue light which could alter my circadian rhythm.I have also used these at a shooting range, and noted that they were exactly the same glasses used for rentals, except that these are yellow, which I found to be a superior option for target practice.5Great for Blue Light FilteringI use these daily as a blue light filter on electronic screens before bed. I've noticed a big difference in sleep quality compared to the days I don't use them. I've bought four additional pairs to give to family and friends and they all appreciate the difference in their evening routines. It's probably one of my best purchase decisions of 2016 under $15.5A nicely designed work or sport optic....affordable & durable.......I purchased some of these Pyramex Ztek Safety glasses in various colors. We use them for sporting, mainly cycling training - road racing, where we have need of good eye protection. They work very well, even better than super expensive 'road glasses' - I like that I can have clear, blue or darker like smoke gray or coffee, and change them depending upon the conditions, the former for cloudy dark days, and the latter for full sunny conditions. They seems to fit pretty close to the cheekbones to minimize the chance of particles getting past them & into your eyes. The tight fit helps keep wind out, which I value when riding in windy conditions. They're reasonably stylish, so the 'dork factor' is minimal - no one knows they're 'industrial' unless you tell them so.On a more practical level, I keep 'em around so when working on the car or RV, our eyes are protected against dirt, metal shavings etc from falling into them.I probably order around 12-20 pair year; inevitably some get lost, badly scratched, but at an average of $ 5 per unit, it's no biggie - and as a bonus, I can usually find a pair nearby !(Unless my kids have grabbed them, but that's not the products fault ! )4So Comfortable! These are so comfy on my face and fit nicely under my ear protection without bothering me. It is also a nice color to look out of. Haven't used them in an indoor range yet, but I am sure they wouldn't be too dark. I will be purchasing these again when the time comes. 5Get yoself a pair of cheap sunglassesI needed a pair of safety glasses at work for when I go into the shop. As I am also a driver, I only wanted to carry one pair of ocular protectors with me. These perfectly fit my needsThe good:Crystal clear vision. All it takes is a quick wipe on my t-shirt and I can see for days with these on.Color tinting is dark enough that I can wear them in the shop and they give me just enough light darkening outside so the glowing day ball doesn't give me a major headacheThey fit perfectly my giant head. The meh:Nothing really. I'm slightly concerned as to how the coating will hold up over time but so far so good. The bad:Nothing5Distortion free and comfortable I wear safety glasses almost everyday for my work in various industrial environments. I purchase my own safety glasses and I have tried dozens (maybe a hundred) different models over 20+ years. These are the best ones I've found. I have purchased them several times from Amazon. They don't last forever, but the price is right. One pair usually lasts more than a month before they are too scratched to use. That is not a fault of the glasses. I have never had a hinge break, but one pair lost one of the rubber ear pieces somehow. It was still wearable without the rubber, but just not as comfortable. They fit me well and are comfortable. Just as important is that they have no distortion caused by the curved lenses. Recently I tried a similarly styled model from my local home improvement store that had terrible distortion which made them unbearable for all-day use - and they cost more than these. 5decent optics, comfortable Comfortable, inexpensive safety glasses. They fit well and stay in place on my "XL"-hat size male noggin. They don't seem to fog up (at least when not wearing a mask), but fogging likely varies by ambient humidity and how tightly they fit your face. The curve of the glasses (and plastic material) means there's minor optical distortion to the sides, but it's not really noticeable except at the periphery of my vision. That distortion is found in almost all plastic-lens glasses of this design, so isn't a negative on these glasses. The edges of the frame have some non-clear material also. That means you'll want to turn your head (like people who wear prescription glasses do) rather than just move your eyes.I also really like the competing 3M Tekk Safety Glasses, which have a better frame (less non-clear material), but I found they scratch easily if you get any grit on the glasses (and then wipe them off). I'd happily buy either these Pyramex or the 3M Tekk, depending on which was cheaper at the time.I feel a lot more comfortable with eye protection whether I'm working with power tools, in the yard, or cleaning anything that could splash or rebound. These glasses are Recommended. 5This'll do These are pretty decent safety glasses. They don't look to 'goggle-y', and in fact, they just kinda look like sunglasses when you're wearing them. They do fog up a bit, so that's a factor, but not too bad.And they were a pretty decent price too.So professional mechanics may want to look elsewhere, but for us backyard mechanics, this'll do. 4CheapWaste of money even though they are cheap. When you sweat while wearing them it smudges the plastic or whatever it's made out of and you can't wipe it off. Eventually the part right below the eyebrows that always got sweat on it started eating away at the actual thing and melting or something to that affect.1Purple but not like shown Looks cool but not the same purple as pictured. As comfortable as any other "simple" safety glasses and look good. Yes they are Purple but no they are not as rich of a purple color as shown. I still like them and they work very well indoors. They are more blue then purple. I took a side by side of the blue glasses I wear from the same company, different style. You can see how similar the purple is to the blue. I'm satisfied with these glasses just hoped for a bit more purple color. I understand they can't be too dark or you couldn't see well. 4My new go to safety glassesGood glasses. Great price. I have to wear them constantly at work. Most safety glasses I've used are scratched too fast and I can't see clearly. I've worn these for a couple months now and they di have some scratches but not bad enough that I need to replace them yet. I will continue to buy these to have a spare pair on hand as long as I have a job that requires me to wear them.5Great fit for wider headsAs an Asian, it can be tough to find eyewear that fits properly (hence many big brands like Oakley and Smith have "asian" fit). With my wider, flatter head and lower nose bridge, many times the nose bridge of glasses and other eyewear do not sit on my nose or my temples get pinched from narrower glasses. These safety glasses are tough but flexible enough to properly fit my head perfectly, have pretty good anti-fog, and are decently scratch-resistant. At $5, its a pretty great deal too.Its been about a year since I bought my last pair, and from my poor storage technique (leaving it out with no case), it has developed a couple of bigger, noticible scratches, but thats to be expected. They have been very comfortable and are a pair I can always count on.I'll probably be ordering a few more since they work great as biking (road and mountain) glasses for me, as I tend to prefer little/no tint, and as safety glasses that I know will fit me well.5Safety Eyewear MAY also protect from strobe and fast paced effects in TV and moviesBought as a gift - I had read that tinted eyewear MAY help those people with flickering sensitivity - fast spinning motion in a movie, strobe effects, etc. These Pyramex "shades" were cheap enough that I bought them and gave them, as mentioned, as a gift. I was happily surprised to find out that they work. It's not a magic solution, as extreme motion/flickering will still overload, but when we sat down and watched The Flash (relevant information, seriously) - a show with fast motion, abrupt changes in direction for the viewer, and so on - there were no bad reactions to any of the visuals. At the low price I bought them for, they were very much worth the money.4Lenses scratched very easilyOverall I was relatively pleased with these glasses for my work in dental school. I don't remember them fogging up excessively. The fit was relatively comfortable. However, one day I noticed they had several severe scratches on their lenses which made them all but useless. Perhaps I had put them next to something abrasive in my locker, but I would have hoped the lenses would be more scratch resistant for being labeled that the lenses are coated for "superior scratch resistance."If you can ensure that they won't get scratched, these could be the safety glasses for you. But if scratch resistance is important for you, look elsewhere. Hope I helped in your decision!3They work well-ishI bought 3 of these ( clear, blue, and yellow). The clear ones are clear but not as clear as other brands. They have good protection for your eyes, but they will fog up and condensate while sweating. For some reason the 3m brand seems to be clearer and stays clearer when you sweat. This is a small complaint, just comparing them to the other brand I wear.4Great safety glasses for a reasonable price Great safety glasses for a reasonable price. They have almost been stolen several times by co workers. The mirror isn't very drastic, and I haven't scratched it in the 2 months I've been using them.I am a rental agent for a truck company and only use these when in the shop to protect from debri as the mechanics work on trucks. Will buy again. 5
