Installed into IKEA shelf units to enhance the sound of my rear speakers in a 9.1 system. Worked like a charm. 5Five Stars good quality great value 5Great speakers Sounds great and worse great will the rest of my home theater system (my other speakers are a different brand name) 5Can't handle the AZ heat very well Nice sound but the plastic dries out and becomes peanut brittle after 3.5 years. I live in Arizona but they are in the patio ceiling in the shade but still wore out. 3Good value and sound One of the 2 in the pair was blown, but it was immediately replaced and together these sound good now. I don't need to crank it in my basement so I'm happy with the sound quality, but I would not use these in an environment that requires them to be loud - but great value for the price. 4Pleasantly surprised These speakers have exceeded my expectations. I added them to my theater ceiling as an afterthought....I had a 5.1 setup in place and decided to add these for 7 channel use. My ceiling is black so my choices were very limited without resorting to painting/modding a set of speakers. I've never really thought very highly of Pyle, but went with them since they were black and the correct size.For the use I have for them, they couldn't be better. They don't get driven very hard and actual sound quality isn't a huge deal since they are basically effects speakers, but I did some side by side with a much more expensive set of similarly built and sized ceiling speakers and I have to say these seem to have better sound to my ears. Nothing scientific, but on a casual basis I would pick the Pyles for music. 5Good sound Love these speakers sound great in my basement theater room. 5They're Okay For being 8 inches I was hoping for more bass. I turned on full range in the reciever to get the bass frequencies. No bass. I bought the pair used for $15 so I'm not complaining. If I would've bought them new at $50 I might be returning them. 3Four Stars Best speakers for the $$$. hard to install tho with the cheap plastic system. 4
