    Seems Like A Worthwhile Purchase......however, I purchased the incorrect size. Had to return it. Seemed solidly built and if I had the size I needed, I'd've probably used it. 3Described correctly-ish.Description of item is almost spot on. I bought this based on another person's review thinking it would be the right size. Unfortunately the inner ring was about 1/8" too big. The inner opening is exactly 7 7/16" and is designed to have a light with a 7 3/4" light sit on the inner lip. The outside diameter of the ring is actually 8 13/16" not the 8 7/8" it says in the description, but an otherwise great good ring if it was the right size for me. 5Falsely advertisedThere is nothing about the ring itself that is 6". If you are looking for a ring with a 6" ID (Inter Diameter), this is not the ring to buy... 1Does not fit as an extension for a 6 trim!Product does not work with 6 trims. The rings are made too large to fit 6 trims. The trims push through. 1Did the jobWorked well for me - concealed some minor mistakes without being conspicuous. I needed to modify the ring on my stock lights to make it a perfect fit. 4Five StarsFit my 6 inch light perfectly and covered a slightly larger-than-the-can light hole. 5Works exactly as advertised and looks greatIn finishing our house, my husband and I put up acres of tongue and groove whitewashed pine on ceilings. We did the best we could to cut closely around the can lights, but a couple of them had small, but visible gaps.These rings fixed the problem beautifully. I deducted one star because I think they're really expensive for what they are (they must make about ten dollars' profit each) but zero complaints other than that. 4Great service. GoodDid the job. I was hoping there would be a one inch ring version (I was trying to cover a rather large goof). But all in all, looks good. 5
