    Attractive, high-quality lens for wet areasSturdy and clean-looking, heavy glass Fresnel lens diffuses light evenly and clearly. Steel ring completes the quality appearance. The mounting "spring" wires on back must be compressed to fit into the can-light fixture, but it's then held securely. Does not include a gasket for a truly water-tight seal between the ring and ceiling, so order that separately if your light fixture is exposed to lots of spray or splash. That would have been overkill for my installation. 5Easy to insatallI broke the original cover to my bathroom fixture while changing the bulb. Fortunately, I found this one on Amazon and was able to replace it myself for less than $10 without calling a handyman, who would probably have charged me at least $50. I Iove that the glass on this one is clear and give more light than the original one. 5Very happyI was so happy to find this after breaking the original one that I assume that s been in there since our House was built in 94! I wish I would have scraped the ceiling before painting and putting it up because the casing is a little smaller than the original, so there is a small line in the ceiling you might be able to see in the picture 5Great QualityVery satisfied with it. The metal is sturdy and powder coated well enough, white. It is real glass, and has pretty good weight to it. We have very old cans, and needed to install clips that hold the tension arms. These, just clip it in, and it diffuses the light enough so that it's not distracting, yet plenty of light shines through. Should be good for the long run. 4White!I was a little nervous when I ordered these because some reviewers said their's wasn't white. Mine were and they look great. My 21 year old ones were so yellowed that anything would have been an improvement. It took me just minutes to replace each one. I should be good for another 20 years! 5Looks brand new!This worked perfect for replacing an old light cover which was starting to yellow from exposure to UV rays and heat. The old cover was 11 years old and I pulled it off, popped this one on using the included tension wires, and it looks brand new. I replaced a cheap plastic version that had broken off the spring and this replacement trim is just what the doctor ordered! It's made of metal and thick glass that you can actually see the light through (unlike some of the other cheaply made ones). Great trim product! 5Stop looking at an ugly shower light from 1983.This arrived 4 days late, but that was USPS s fault. There are no instructions, and I have never made this kind of repair. I am a learn-as-I-go female homeowner in my 30 s. This took me 4 minutes to remove, clean my ceiling, and reinstall. So much better!! It s little fixes along the way that will keep your house looking nice. Don t be intimidated by projects like this. Also, I do not think the springs are upside down. That bent back deal on the ends holds it very nicely in place. 5
