Customer Reviews

Excellent value, Sturdy, Super-slim I recently used this mount to install my Panasonic TH-50PH9UK 50" Plasma Display on the wall. (See customer images). Installation was a breeze. The instructions were easy to follow and the mount is very sturdy. It comes with a ton of different adapters and an easy-to-use compatibility guide so you can quickly match up your TV with the right adapter.Highly recommended for someone looking for a low-profile mount.UPDATE 10/03/07: I recently upgraded to a Panasonic TH-58PZ700U 58" 1080p Plasma HDTV. This mount worked like a champ using the thicker set of "bars" to attach to the panel. 5Peerless Mount Well Designed I bought this mount for home use, but it just so happens that I work for an A/V integration firm, and have for the last 11 years. I knew of Peerless' mounts from trade shows, in-house vendor demonstrations, and having spec'd them for dozens of installation. This was my first opportunity to actually install one myself.Peerless not only provides a separate booklet with display compatibility charts (also a search engine on their website), but they provide fasteners and tools for each scenario, actually describing which parts will be used, of those provided. And the extra-long allen key provided is perfect for securing the display to the wall mount, taking into account how closely the display hangs to the wall.Amazon's price and shipping beat the fuss I'd have to put up with, to set up a box sale within my integration firm. As usual, the product arrived before they said it would, and was the good value I expected it to be. 5Great mount This comes with all the tools needed to install. It fit our Vizio 52" flat screen perfectly. The mount has an ultra low profile so make sure your cords will fit behind it. Our wall has a recessed area for cords so we did not have to worry about that. I trust this mount, it very sturdy and high quality! Our last mount was also peerless and we trusted that mount as well. I would recommend this to anyone who needs or desires a very low profile mount. 5Very easy installation! I was a little concerned as I searched for a mount that I could use with my Olevia 32 inch flat panel (232V). I was not worried about the TV itself but the center of the studs on the wall where I planned to install it were 25.5 inches apart - and none of the reviews or doucmentation talked about that being a workable setup.I decided to go ahead and order it and see if it would work out and I am glad I did. First it allowed me the flexibility to install it in between those studs and there was probably room to go a couple of inches further as well. Second, it was very easy to install. If you can do a few handyman things around the house then you can easily install this. I do suggest you follow my wifes advice that she gave me as I got started "Do not drill holes in my wall until you are absolutely sure you know where they are going!".Overall a terrific mount and I highly recommend it. 5A Simple & Effective Low-Profile Mount This mount is simple and does its job.I can't compare to other mounts since this is my first 40"+ two-stud mount I've owned. However, in general, I think the engineering that goes into TV mounts is slim-to-none, and this just so happens to be the best of them. The good:The metal wall mount and TV brackets feel solid and sturdy. Peerless includes a whole array of bolts, spacers, and washers. They also include two styles of TV brackets, one for an "ultra" low 1.75" inch and another that is something like 2.5" inches. This is the standoff from the wall, so it is nice that they give you the option. Keep in mind you might need some fancy hdmi cable with a 90 degree bend in the connector if you go with a 1.75" inch standoff. Once the mount is attached to the wall, you simply hang the TV on it; it is straight forward. The semi-bad:I have a Samsung LN46A650. Peerless included 16mm, 25mm, and 40mm M8 bolts. I chose to use the spacers on the TV brackets to keep them from scratching the back of my TV. With the spacers, the 25mm bolts were too short to safely secure the brackets to the TV. The 40mm M8 bolts were too long to keep the TV brackets from shifting up and down (they couldn't be tightened completely). That being said, I had to cut the bolts down to 33-35mm and only then did they tighten the brackets to the TV completely. Moreover, the instructions mention that you need two studs 16" apart, but they don't list a maximum distance (or I missed it in the instructions). The reason I cared is that the wall mount is actually long enough that you can attach it to two studs 32" apart. I called technical support and they clarified that it should be a maximum of 24". Lastly, Peerless includes a very long Allen wrench to secure the bottom half of the TV brackets to the wall mount. The problem is that the Allen wrench has a nice long 6" bend for leverage purposes. However, because this is a low-profile mount, you really end up just turning the wrench until that 6" bend hits the wall, and then you have to take the wrench out and meticulously turn the screw. The engineering department should have realized this in testing and supplied an Allen wrench that had a 1 or 2" bend at most. You don't need a lot of leverage; the point isn't to tighten it down, but just to screw it in far enough that you can't pull the bottom of the TV towards you on accident.Summary:Affordable and simple. Some engineering oversights add a little frustration, but I can live with it. 4Great value: two people needed to hang. I used this with the 50 inch Panasonic TH-50PX60U flat panel TV. It was straightforward, but I think 20 minutes to install (like some of the reviews stated) is unrealistic, unless you do this kind of thing regularly. The instructions don't specify which of the two different bars to attach to the back of the TV. You can use either: one offers a little more clearance than the other. I opted for the slim design. This makes the tightening of the safety screws a chore, since it's not possible to turn the screw with the (included) long Allen wrench a complete revolution without it hitting the wall. This means that each half turn requires pulling the wrench out and putting it back in. I'm thinking about cutting off the end of the wrench and attaching to a drill for future adjustments. One issue remains: the TV appears slightly crooked. This may be because the geometry of my walls is not square. Watch this space for an update after I take more measurements. Any other users experience this? 5Great low-cost mount for my 50 in. Panasonic My Panasonic TH-50PZ800U weights about 90 pounds and is mounted on an interior sheetrock/2x4 stud wall. The Peerless SF660 was easy to attach to the wall with the included hardware, but you will need a level in addition to the tools listed on the instruction sheet. The wall bracket of the current product is wide open in the middle (unlike the illustration), making it easy to route all the cables through the wall. There are two sets of vertical mounting bars. I needed to use the wider set to clear the bend radius on my fat and stiff HDMI cables. If the HDMI connectors on the TV were a few inches higher, I could have used a hole in the wall to clear the cable bends and used the narrower bars to get the TV closer to the wall.If you don't need to angle your screen up or down, this mount will do the job. It is an excellent value at the current price. 5Great mount! I purchased this mount for a Samsung 59" plasma TV that I wanted to mount as close to the wall as possible. This mount was very easy to install and the result is at the TV with mount is less than three inches from the wall. Once tightened to the wall, it's very solid and would be extremely difficult to pull down.My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a template to help you place the TV more quickly. It took a little more time to measure the back of the TV, determine exactly where the mount was going to hit the TV and then determine wall placement for the horizontal bars. Otherwise, I have no complaints! 4Solid, well designed wall mount for the flat screen This is a great wall mount for a for a variety of flatscreen TVs. I originally purchased this unit for a 42 inch flatscreen and as I've moved up in sizes from 42 to 55 to 60+ inches this wall mounting system has remained as the primary wall mounting units for my display. Installation is quick, easy, needing only the lightest amount of handtools. All that is required is a stud finder to locate the best places to attach the main frame rails screws (4) and either a power screwdriver or drill with screwdriver attachment to ensure a solid fit to the wall. From there the TV attaches directly to the attached frame and is held in secure position via two deep well bolts screwed into place via supplied a long reach Allen wrench. Of all the TV mounts that I've used in the past, this one has been the most dependable and easy to use 5Slim Sturdy and Easy to Install I bought this wall mount for my Samsung 46" LCD. Installation was a breeze. The kit comes with an assortment of screws and a look-up chart so you can cross refernce TV make and model with cortrect screw length. The wall mount was very easy to install. Took approx 20 mins for the wall mount to be secured to the wall studs + 5 mins to attach bars to the TV + 1 min to hang it up. Add another 5 mins to tighten all reamining safety screws. One word of caution: I strongly suggest you carefully mark the location of the the wall studs. In my case, I wanted to hang the TV in the center of the wall but the stud positioins were not in my favor. As such, I had no choice but to install slightly to the left. The problem is you only have limited room to slide the TV on the maunt/rail to the right before you reach the end of the mount. If your TV allows it, go for the next size up in wall mount. That way, you have more room to sldie the TV left/right to center it in the wall. 5
