Customer Reviews

I'm giddy... I'd been looking for a pair of wireless headphone, but I didn't want to pay for some Beats by Dre. I wanted the same bass heavy sound that came out of Beats (I love hip hop) but I didn't want to pay the high price. I ran into a review that said that Outdoor Tech had headphones with the same quality, but at only $99. I was skeptical, but ordered anyway. All I can say is they are the BOMB.Fit over the ear fine, you just have to slide your finger over the ear cover to either turn the music up or down, to skip forward or backwards on a song. I haven't tried to make a call, but since everything worked right out the box (took two minutes to link to my iPhone) I figure it's gonna be seamless too. I don't know how these guys market their headphones, but if they do it smartly, they'll make a mint. 5Best Bluetooth headphones to date These headphones are awesome so far , sound is wicked for a Bluetooth headset , work perfectly for calls , only thing is they get a little uncomfortable if on for long periods ,and some design mods for wearing sunglasses would be good( but that's all headphones). I am also very good at trashing headphones and have only had these a short while so it will be interesting to see how long they last , that said the construction is pretty sturdy and battery life is really good 5Very good choice, especially on sale. Sound good, sturdy, and comfortable If I could, I would give these 4.5 stars.First, some context: this is the third pair of bluetooth headphones that I ordered from Amazon, and I rejected the first two within 5 minutes of receiving them. Neither was comfortable enough to wear.I decided to try again. I was looking for an inexpensive, decent, and COMFORTABLE pair of wireless earphones.I saw these on a flash sale (believe it or not, they were temporarily under $25!). I ordered them, more in hope than in confidence.I am quite pleased. They are reasonably comfortable, sound as good as bluetooth headphones can. Relatively flat frequency response, with a bit of a boom to the bass. Music is acceptable, but hardly of audiophile quality. But what do you expect from bluetooth? If you are a really discerning listener, you are using wired headphones anyway. These outclass anything else I have heard in wireless, although I haven't tried the $200+ range. As it is, the weaknesses I hear are from bluetooth, not the headphones themselves. My wife says they look a bit dorky on me, but dorky is "in," anyway. How else to explain Beats, which make you look like Princess Leia? These make you look like a WWII radio operator, so get yourself a bomber jacket and potential mates will flock to you! They seem more sturdy than average. Far better than most. Will outlast a pair of Beats, almost certainly.Overall, I am pleased. The brand is modestly obscure, but they punch above their weight. If you can get a decent deal, go for it. Worth at least 3 to 4x what I paid. 4Three stars, they re OK. I bought these when I lost my Plattan adv bluetooth headphones, and they seemed great in the beginning. I realized there was a heavy bass on the sound, which I thought was awesome. After a month, I noticed that the right headphone started sounding fuzzy. After an hour of using them my ears started to hurt. Aesthetically they re ok, there s a blue light that is ALWAYS blinking on the side of your face. The swipe feature is hit or miss, it doesn t work very efficiently. Ended up returning them because I found that they weren t worth what I payed for, but maybe the final sound quality was a result of my handling/ volume selections and not a manufacturer problem. They aren t terrible; I wouldn t buy them for a child or teenager because of the possible eardrum damage. I would recommend them for someone working outdoors, expecting to replace them eventually. 3Great product for the price I had gotten my partner some beatz headphones for his birthday and he loved them and I wanted something wireless as well but didn t want to pay the price for some beatz so I have these a try and they work better then my partners headphones. They do a decent job at canceling noise while I am at the gym and I love how many colors I can choose from. They fold up to make traveling with them a breeze and best of all unlike the beatz mine haven t broken and I haven t been the most gentle with them either (in case you are wondering we got lucky that the beatz were under warranty). Overall I am happy with my purchase and recommend to anyone who is looking for a functional headset that won t break your piggy bank 5Love these!!!! And if you don't buy them you are so missing out Anytime you open a user guide that begins with "hi", and then congratulates you for buying the product you know you are going to be pleasantly surprised because a only a cool company has that much fun with their product (sort of like the weird lines in the closing credits of a really good movie).... these headphones are so good I can't find enough adjectives to describe them....they are: comfortable, sporty, easy to operate, fun to use, excellent for sound quality, operational with more range than I though possible and reasonably priced...I'd buy more of them...but I only have two ears..... ....but you can bet that as people I know need headphones....I'm shopping with this company!!!! Oh and thanks for the carrying pouch and the cool sticker!!!! 5Good headphones with some minor drawbacks I love the look of these so much, and the sound quality is just fine for my uses. The collapse to fit in small spaces, which is very handy, and the touch-controls are a nice addition. I am giving them 4-stars instead of 5 because the touch controls aren't the easiest to get the hang of and often require you to swipe 2 or 3 times for the desired action. They also will occasionally stop working with the bluetooth in all of my devices, but this is remedied by telling the devices to "forget" my ODT Privates, and then "rediscovering" them. Overall, these are a good purchase for someone who likes to casually (and wirelessly) listen to music, but probably isn't up to the standards of someone who is a sound-quality snob. 4Love the color, but need more I have been searching for the right Bluetooth headphones and these were not quite the ones. They paired easily with my Windows 10 phone and when I first put them on, felt very comfortable. Unfortunately, they ended up hurting before my 40 minute commute was over; they were to tight on my fairly normal sized head. The sound quality is excellent. However, I wear headphones to counteract the tinnitus I have in one ear, and for some reason these had a steady wind sound, that not only aggravated my tinnitus, but I heard it in both ears. I do like that the volume and next/previous track buttons are separate, though the swipe function takes time to master; to many models combine these two functions and I always was changing tracks when I wanted to adjust the volume. As much as i would like to be wire free, I am returning these because in the end, my $10 wired ones are better. 3Well made These headphones are comfortable and well made. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the materials - for the price point it feels pretty high end. I love the material and design. The ear pieces are not quite tight enough; you'll need to be constantly adjusting them if you're moving around at all. This does not bother me because I'm sedentary when using them for music and/or games. I don't think I could use them for exercising, though. 4As a Headphone Freak-A-Zoid, these are one of my favorites. It's no shock to people who know me that I am a bit of a headphone aficionado. I never really considered myself to be an audiophile, at least, not in the traditional sense. Sure, I will always appreciate headphones that are going to give me a good sound and quality. But when it comes to the everyday headphone usage, in terms of its design, profile, and output value, The Outdoor Tech Privates always stand at the highest point on the list. Over the last five years, I've bought five of these headphones, two of which I gave away as gifts. These headphones do a couple of things really well for me.1) Their design is something that I actually have to give them incredibly High marks for. I have never been one who enjoys having headphones that have an extremely large size. Sure, those headphones can give you a better sound comparatively, because the drivers are bigger. But for me, I always want a pair of headphones that I could always have around my neck and easily bring up to my ears in a convenient way that wasn't distracting. I also didn't want anything that was going to increase the width of my head. I think we all know the headphones that have an incredibly wide thickness to them. Those have never been my cup of tea. The Outdoor Tech Privates fit the mold perfectly for me. They are lightweight and have a nice sleek design. Seriously, these are the kind of headphones that can be paired up with a fancy set of clothes and they managed to compliment them. Also in regards to the design, the headphones ability to fold into itself and make for easy travel is very much appreciated. Being able to fold up the headphones and place them into a bag or even a pocket for convenience is always welcomed for me.2) The audio quality is surprisingly well put together for headphones of this size. Granted, I have to mention under the design element that I like about this when it comes to its audio design, and that it's padding on the actual ear cups themselves is quite ingenious. The leather that overlaps the ear cup has a bunch of perforated holes, 56 on each cup. What it does does it actually create a seal around your ears when their place on to them, and the holes are positioned right over your ear canal, creating a nice little seal that manages to direct the sound while also acting as a means to block out surrounding noise. Now, I'm not saying that these headphones are capable of drowning out sounds, but acts more as a dampening to the world around you. When the music is on, it's design aids the performance of the actual sound output. On top of that, the headphone actually gives you the ability to use two different options for connecting to an audio device, being both an auxiliary port as well as a Bluetooth connectivity feature, and for the work that I do, having that kind of auxiliary capability is greatly appreciated.Okay, I've talked about some of the things I love about these headphones, but I feel like it's only fair to talk about something that I don't necessarily like all that much: The Bluetooth capability. Now, while I understand the convenience of having Bluetooth connectivity, I've never been a big fan of it due to its intensive latency. The Bluetooth that are in the Outdoor Tech Privates isn't the worst Bluetooth experience I've ever had, but I'm also not saying it's the best either. When you compare the Bluetooth capability to something like a Bose speaker, it always sets the bar pretty high for any other audio system or device that uses Bluetooth connectivity. Additionally, there been a few other people that have mentioned this, and I will too; the blinking light for the Bluetooth connectivity is incredibly bright and can be incredibly annoying at times in a dark environment. For me, I am always going to use these headphones with an auxiliary cable. I don't want to deal with a light and I don't want to deal with large amounts of latency that can hinder the experience when trying to watch a video or having to wait for the track to skip to the next track after you push the next button.I ve seen a few people talk about that, when worn for long periods of time, the Outdoor Tech Privates can cause some discomfort in the ears and head. While I can confirm that, when they are brand new, the headphones can cause a bit of pressure after prolonged periods, this is something that goes away with use; much like how shoes need to be broken in, most headphones need to do this as well, the Outdoor Tech Privates work the same way. I ve been using these brand of headphones every day for over 5 years. Trust me, I know.In conclusion, these are headphones I would recommend highly as a mobile option or for general everyday use. They have a nice design that is both sleek and compact combined with an audio quality that is fantastic for their size. While it won't win any awards for their Bluetooth, having it as an option and supplying a direct line-in with auxiliary makes these headphones one of the best I've owned. As long as I can still find them, I will continue to keep buying them. 5
