Keep in mind that the light bulbs required are sop lights only. 5Good quality materials usedI used this to replace a burned out transformer in the original one in the ceiling. Because the transformers are riveted to the electrical box, it would be challenging to replace just the transformer, so this is why I replaced the whole unit.Only took about 15 minutes to swap out the old with the new. Good quality materials used. 5Fixture transformers may failOne of the four fixtures we installed had its transformer burn out within the first few weeks of install. The manufacturer promptly replaced it and it continues to work today. Two others burned out last week, within 3 months of install. Maybe this was just a "bad batch" of fixtures but I would not buy these again and plan to replace all four of them. The fixtures did not have heavy use. They also had an audible transformer hum. 2Hot, hot, hot!Had these in my house for a few years and noticed they were running very hot; like burning your finger hot. after inspection in my attic, the insulation was black, and the paperbacking was dried out and brittle. I replaced them for fear they would burn down my house. I was using 50w lights. 1NiceNice 4Five StarsQuick and easy installation and it worked 5Transformers go bad....Had to replace my original as the transformer burned out....not the first one to do that. The replcement transformer is not available so bought two this time, one for a spare!
