    Keeps dual XEONS under 100% load in a 4U chassis under 60C while encoding/transcoding. I put this in my server which runs 2x E5-2665 v1's. It's in a 4U chassis that sits in my closet with no air flow (IE I don't have an air duct exhausting AC air into my closet).Running my CPU's under full load doing transcoding with handbake to HEVC all while people are also access the server for plex needs... my CPU's never break 60C. In fact, I have yet to even see them hit 60C while transcoding.This is an amazing cooler that comes with two fans, pwm splitters, pwm extensions, all the tools you'll need to install on standard and slim sockets, and thermal paste.I do use my with thermal grizzly, not the included paste, but most paste only gives you MAYBE a couple of degrees difference, and I feel like that's a stretch. Either way, I'm so glad I bought these. And yes, they fit perfectly in a 4U chassis with room to spare. 5Fits many different way This is quite a large cooler. However, Noctua provides various mounting options. I am using this in a shallow 4U case with a narrow ISL fan mount. I used the NM-XFB5 90 Mounting Bar, to get the cooler to blow from the front of the case to the back. Because of the sallow case, the drive bay would overlap with one of the fans. However, the fan is easy to replace. Very noticable noise level difference from previous cooler (Noctua is quiter)!In my experience none of the ISL coolers are easy to install. However, Noctua makes it as easy as possible.Now I have to figure out what to do with the extra Noctua fan. 4Noctua does it again I bought this knowing Noctua makes really high quality products and I was not dissapointed. The heatsink is very quiet and keeps my 2609 v2's nice and chilly. I got this because my whitebox server is in my bedroom and did not want it irritating me at night and this does the job perfectly. I'm very happy with the amount of cables and options it gave me and I was especially impressed with the near mirror finish on the bottom of the heatsink when I took the plastic off. 5Noctua always delivers IMO Noctua is the best in class! I always buy Noctua with confidence.There are two small inconveniences when installing this cooler in a Dell workstation - T5610, T5810 and similar:1. You have to remove the springs and replace them with #10 zinc washers as shown in the picture. Otherwise you cannot screw the bolts into the nuts that are bellow the motherboard.2. You have to remove the metal plate that covers the handle on the inside of the case panel. Otherwise you will not be able to close the case due to the height of the cooler. Of course you could go with the NH-D9DX i4 3U model which is shorter in order to be compatible with 3U cases, but I think NH-U9DX i4 provides better cooling. Noctua support think too. I asked them. 5Awesome temps Just installed two of these in a dual Xeon Super Micro tower I bought on ebay. The system was originally setup for passive cooling and the CPUs would run at 67 Celsius when idle. Under moderate load the temp alams would set off. Both CPUs now sit at 37 Celsius under moderate load. I can actually use the server to do real work. The Noctua fans also seem fairly quiet. I'm probably going to replace all the Super Micro fans with Noctua fans and make this tower a little quieter. I'm very happy with this purchase. 51 of 2 came with a bent mounting screw. Really bummed that it came with a bent bolt. I couldn't be bothered to send in for a replacement. Got two of these for my dual xeon workstation and they cool well and are nice and quiet. Even the one with a missing mounting screw, still does well. 3This thing absolutely rocks Okay so I have the Asrock X99E-ITX/AC motherboard. That crazy little mini ITX X99 motherboard with a narrow ILM mounting system. Now this is the third cooler I've tried. First was a Cooler Master Seidon 120v since the motherboard came with an adapter bracket specifically for that. That worked, but in my case (Ncase M1), it was a bit cramped and on top of that, the pump noise was awful. The case itself has nearly no noise dampening since it's so small. So I changed to a 2U server copper heatsink with a fan attached. That was quiet, but under load, my Xeon was getting a little toastier than I'd liked. Then I came across this one on Amazon. I didn't think it would fit, but I ordered it anyway. It fit perfect. There is very little room to the other side of the case, but it isn't touching and I could still put both fans on it and it blows directly out of the case. Most importantly, it keeps my temps under 60c while gaming and below 75 while stress testing while being extremely quiet. I'll definitely be buying Noctua coolers for future builds. This one checks all the boxes. 5Impressive temps, easy to install, first-rate product on narrow ILM Using this on an X9 SuperMicro LGA-2011 board which requires a narrow ILM. As can be seen from the photos, (before I re-attached the fans) it clears my DIMMs just fine. This fits in a 4U case with room to spare. In the case, idle temps on my Xeon E5-2667 are 28 C. Under full load it reaches 61 C. Outside the case I did see idle temps dip to 26 C.The kit comes with the fans, a Y-cable for connecting both fans to a single header, assorted mounting arms for the different socket configurations, a hex tool for tightening the screws to the socket, two inline low-noise adapters for the fans and an instruction pamphlet. I used the Y-cable but ended up not using the low-noise adapters because this thing was already pretty quiet without them. It also came with a syringe of Noctua NT-H1 thermal compound.Instructions were easy to follow. Swapping the mounting arms for my narrow LGA-2011 took just a few minutes. I loved that I had the option to mount the cooler either as shown in the photos, or rotated 90 degrees. Fans are easily removed and replaced via a tensioned wire that keeps them attached to the fins. 5Good. I went through three water coolers.1. Corsair h100i: Pump died2. Kraken X61: Pump died3. Kraken X62 (replacement): Used for a bit, decided not worth it.So much better. Cooling is a little worse as to be expected with such a small air cooler coming from big water coolers. (5820k)But absolutely no noise, no longer hearing the light hum from the water coolers, and rock solid reliability. I've installed half a dozen of these over the past few months in various machines in an effort to switch to something less likely to fail. 55 Stars - Whisper quiet, high volume flow to cool your system Purchased two of these products for installation on my Dell T7600 Workstation.This product was not meant to be installed on such a system, but requires a bit of effort. In short, it is now installed in my system (dual core xeon) and temperatures of my system are drastically reduced.Before installation, my CPU's were operating on average at about 60 C. In some cases, my system would shut down due to over-temperature (I do alot of heavy calculations and had to do them intermittently as much as possible so as to not over-temp my system). In some cases, I would leave the computer ON over night calculating away and in the morning after I woke up, I would find my system turned off - after rebooting, I would get a message from the system that it turned off due to over-temp.After Installation, my CPU's now operate at 30 C and sometimes as high as 35 C but that's it) under heavy demand - computer has been on for weeks calculating away (no I am not mining bit coins, I am doing some CFD research)The NOCTUA product works!!! It is whisper quiet, very efficient at cooling my system - I highly recommend this product line. 5
