    High Quality Product-Huge Improvement In Clarity And Durability Worth Every Penny I was so pleased with the huge improvement in Clarity with the NeuLux Gorilla Glass Lens. The old plastic lens was not that badly scuffed or scratched in the old, but still nice condition 3D Cell MagLite, I chose to upgrade. The NeuLux Lens is .08 in thick (2mm), as opposed to the original plastic lense at .06 in thick (1.5mm). Consequently, the bezel ring that holds the lens against the body of the flashlight did not tighten down quite the same as it did before and left a small gap (of just under .02 in/.5mm). As the O-Ring in the bezel ring did tighten against the lens and the bezel ring skirt then came over the O-Ring on the body of the flashlight to keep everything water tight--I do not see any problem. Other reviewers have noted this gap. After looking at the above fitting on my MagLite, I think it really is a just a small cosmetic issue. I will take the durability of the new lens as a more than acceptable trade off. I really like the idea of how scratch resistant this glass should be. The light transmission is so much better than any plastics, even when they are new. I could tell how much better the clarity was with both the original type bulb and the roughly 200 lumen LED upgrade now installed. As a side note, pure silicone grease like that used in diving equipment (available on Amazon) is great stuff for all your O-Rings. I am super happy with the NeuLUX Gorilla Glass Lens. It even comes with a note with a nice message to the customer about the company really wanting to make sure you are happy with this product. If not, they want to know how they can make it so. I intend to buy more of this product and can heartily recommend it to others. 5Does improve optics over even moderatly scratched OEM plastic lenses Received this glass lens replacement for one of my older 4D MagLites today. It does improve the focus and beam pattern over the older slightly / moderately scratched plastic OEM lens. I'll probably order another one to retrofit my other 4D Maglite when they are back in stock. Given that I'm weaponizing the torches by investing in strike bezels, glass break end caps and 300 lumen LED bulbs with the heft of a 4D "baton," it makes sense to have more durable and scratch resistant lenses as well. Thankfully I've never had to use them in a tactical manner but they are another less lethal option if ever faced with that circumstance. As a side note, the assortment of accessories are adding up to cost more than the original 4D Maglites themselves. Nonetheless, these have been highly durable and proven work horses for decades now so the upgrades are worth it to me. I have other more current technology 800 lumen LED lights but I'm more cautious with their delicate circuitry and much higher price points. 5Great upgrade to Maglite Great upgrade to standard Maglite. I didn't realize how much difference it would make. The plastic lens did not seem too bad, but when the glass lens was installed, the reflector looked like there was no lens in place. Looking of the the reflector and LED is much clearer. Like opening a window and seeing more vivid details without the window in place. I can't tell if the beam appeared brighter or not, but seeing the difference in apparent clarity, it must be better. 5It's like a completely new flashlight! Between this lens upgrade and replacing our dead incandescent bulb with a new LED bulb, our old 2 D-cell is like a completely new flashlight. I knew the LED bulb would make a big difference, but I have to admit that I was skeptical that a glass lens would make much difference.Still, I figured that for the cost it was worth a try. I replaced the original bulb with the LED but kept the original plastic lens to see how much of a difference the LED bulb made. As expected, it was pretty bright compared to the incandescent. Then I replaced the plastic lens with the Neutek crystal glass lens.Call me amazed! I didn't do quantitative measurement, but, subjectively, the beam does look about twice as bright as it did with the original plastic lens. I think this is definitely worth the price. 5Thicker than OEM lens, leaves gap Nice glass replacement but you need to be aware that the glass version is about 1mm thicker than the OEM plastic lens. This may prevent the threaded lens cover (the part with the MAG markings on it) from seating fully against the reflector housing. At least this is the way it is on my early 1990's 2D MAG. Note the narrow gap between the lens cover and reflector housing, just above the knurled ring in the attached photo. As far as weather sealing, everything should be fine even with this gap since the lens o-ring and the reflector housing o-ring are still fully engaged once tightened. My previous plastic lens was pretty scratched up so this replacement appeared to be a logical upgrade. I also replaced the incandescent bulb with an LED which transformed this MAG from a flashlight into a flood lamp. I'm not sure the glass lens really helps light output but the LED is a worth-it upgrade. 4Excellent product, value and quality. Highly recommended! I recently upgraded my 20-year old Mag-Lite to an LED bulb which, once installed, showed every single scratch on my original plastic lens. I immediately searched for a glass lens replacement, and ordered this Neutek product, and I couldn't be happier.As expected, my upgraded Mag-Lite was much clearer with this new lens. But I was very impressed by a small quality feature that I didn't expect or even think of. Over the years, I ve had many a standard flashlight (back in the day when carbon batteries were the norm), and every one of their glass lenses (the standard back then) had sharp edges that almost seems to be stamped out of a larger sheet. Hell, you could cut rope with the edges of those lenses.As I installed this lense, however, I noticed that the edging was smooth and not sharp to the touch at all with a nice bevel. A small thing, but it spoke to quality and made me feel that I had bought from the right company. I would only recommend that when installing, you handle the lens with a slightly damp microfiber cloth to prevent dust and smudges. 5Worth the wait. Orginal Maglite never performed like this Waited a while for the lens to arrive so I was not happy with the procurement process/. That being said that when they did arrive and fitted to the flash light with the LED bulb upgrade - awesome. Old kit fitted for the 21st century. Very happy with the lens. 5The difference was obvious My old 4D Mag-lite was great in its day and it spent many years with me in my ambulance. But I recently upgraded the bulb to an LED and was impressed. But when I used the glass lens as well, the difference was obvious. It throws the light like never before. I like it! 5UNFORTUNATELY DOES NOT FIT "MY C CELL MAGLITE" Ad says the lens will fit both C and D cell Maglite. Does NOT fit my C cell Maglite. I called to see if there was a mistake with shipping. I did get a call back in a timely manner and told they did NOT have the diameter to fit my Maglite and she would get back to me. I did NOT hear back from her. I was so happy with the Little Ultra Bright 350 Lumen Maglite LED upgraded that I just chalked it up as worth the added price even though the lens is useless to me. IF YOU HAVE A MAGLITE I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE LED UPGRADE. 1Great combination with the LED bulb upgrade I bought the led upgrade bulb for my three cell Maglite along with this crystal lens, and I now have a good Maglite with a clear beam thanks to the new combination. 5
