    I couldn't find good mic's and ear pieces while out hunting these exceeded ... I couldn't find good mic's and ear pieces while out hunting these exceeded my expectations. Voices were crystal clear and they stay in your ear pretty well while still allowing you to hear outside noises. 5Sound quality Volume is too low and since I was using them in a noisy warehouse it was better to just use the speaker. 2Was not sure what to expect I needed these for some security work. The ear to mic is way too long so cable dangles and is pulled out of your shirt when you move. The audio is terrible everything is overly treble. it is very difficult to understand what others are saying. I guess they work for non-essential security but I was working a job where hearing, and keeping them hidden / discreet was necessary, more expensive ones would be needed. 2Helps make my job in a 5 story building easier ... Helps make my job in a 5 story building easier to communicate with other staff members without having to turn the volume on the walkie up too high. Allows me to keep my walkie in my pocket or on my waist band without having to pull it out all the time. 5Don't bother Zero stars. This product is a scam, which is a shame considering my excellent experience with other Motorola products. I have tried several combinations of positioning, volumes, channels, and mic distances without ever getting sound better than a garbled underwater echo. I'm not sure what else I can try to get these to be usable. Perhaps the manufacturing process is inconsistent or the positive reviews are paid for. I will be returning them. The chord lengths are also backwards, head to mic is super long and mic to radio barely reached my belt, I'm 6'0" with average build. I will continue shopping. 1The headset PTT buttons are not easily pushed with gloves on either One worked properly. With the other, my friends could not hear me, whether on VOX (voice only) or PTT on the headset. The headset PTT buttons are not easily pushed with gloves on either. Having this in your ear all day can be painful and annoying, and blocks out ambient sounds in that ear. Still searching for a high quality set. Willing to pay more. 2Good headset As part of a volunteer security team I have found these to be very handy. Clarity is good on both receive and transmit, the only problem is that the wire is not quite long enough from the microphone to the radio plug if I wear it under my shirt. I have just started using these so durability remains an unanswered question. The headsets for brand X radio furnished by the organization were not reliable and neither were the radios so I opted to purchase two Motorola units on my own which has worked out much better for me. 4Ok The biggest complaint is have is the length. The cord from the handset to the PTT button is to short & the cord from the PTT button to the ear piece is to long. I've routed this thing every which way imaginable & it just barely fits.Sound quality is meh, but the noise dampening feature (an extra silicone flange on the earbud) actually does a really good job. Be careful pulling it out of your ear. It seals so well, if you pull it out fast, it will hurt your eardrum. 3Sound is very good and clear Sound is very good and clear. Extra ear buds helped a LOT since the ones in place on arrival were too big. Ability to change sides is very handy since I need to wear two to launch a parade. Oddly enough, I'd like the PTT button to be bigger so it would be easier to locate when grabbing blindly while directing large vehicles and float haulers. Otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars. 4Finally, a headset that works in a noisy environment Why is the headset market for walkie talkies so miserable? I can pay $3 for something that feels like it came out of a happy meal or I can pay $90 for a single para-military headset that works semi-great. Nothing in between. Yes this is supposed to be a review not an editorial but after trying many products and them all being terrible, these headsets were adequate. They do their job, the microphone works. They aren't the sturdiest but they work in a concert environment and for that I'd rate them 7 out of 5 if I could. 5
