    1/2 adapter breaks to easy I use the 1/2 adapter on my milwaukee 18v impact and this was my second order cause it snaps off right under the head where the weld is. I no longer use this brand adapters because of the fault. Instead I use the dewalt adapter, it's more expensive but better made. The adapter was used with a 1/2 socket to uninstall mower blades. Nothing that requires insane torque but after about 5 uses in a mowing season they break. Still use the 3/8 & 1/4 tho 21/2" adapter broke first time used This is not what I expected. The first time I used the 1/2 inch adapter, along with my Milwaukee 2753 impact driver, I tried to break a bolt loose, the adapter broke instead. With the durability claims on this product, I expected it to last. I didn't see any disclaimer saying that it wasn't recommended for breaking bolts loose or removing fasteners at all, but when I contacted Milwaukee, they told me it wasn't recommended. They consider it an accessory, and as such there is no warranty. From reading online, theirs is certainly not the only adapter to fail. It is probably reasonable quality for what it is, but it isn't very durable. I'd suggest considering something cheap and getting backups.Also, as I've seen noted with other brands, the 1/4 adapter in particular, doesn't retain sockets very well. I hoped this would do better, but it doesn't seem to. 2Pretty good I was really loving these until the 1/2 inch one broke off. It broke in less than 30 days of use but perhaps I was asking too much of it. I ended up buying the Milwaukee 1/2 inch impact wrench but will appreciate the smaller adapters for less heavy duty needs. So in summary, they are good but you cannot expect to bust off rusted car bolts with a little impact driver. 4Perfect quality I dont believe there is a impact socket adapter that wont break, we ask just way too much from them. But these are definitley different than any other ones I have had, these are tiny, which is perfect for maximizing torque to the fastener and giving these adaptors optimal strength. They will break, just like any other. But these are very high quality compared to other cheaper and same priced adapters.Update: I did end up breaking the 1/2, at the quick connect point, with my dewalt 887 impact. 5Overall great Milwaukee Quality, but sometimes socket falls off. I'm a huge fan of Milwaukee tools. If there is a tool that I am in need of, and Milwaukee makes it, I'll buy Milwaukee every time. These hex adapters are no exception to Milwaukee quality, and for the most part, live up to the quality expectation I have come to trust from the brand. However, the ones I received often have a hard time holding on to sockets. There have been many times the socket has fallen off, which is annoying. That being said I would still recommend these. 4Disapointed from Milwaukee I don't expect any impact adapter to last forever, but I do expect a $12 set to last longer than a couple of uses. If these new improved ones have 10 times the life of the original Milwaukee set, I'd hate to think of how bad the old ones were. Fairly light duty impact use, and yet it snapped after probably 10 minutes of use, spread out over the course of about 2 weeks. The adapter just sheared right off at the quick connect. 21/2" adpater Broke on the second use the claims on the product gave me high hopes. at least more than the generic adapters.but the 1/2" one broke on the second use and not even on a car, just on a workbench releasing 10mm bolt from a fan.as a previous review stated - milwaukee isn't really backing up their product here.so - steer away if you're looking for a good adapter. consider buying multiple generic cheaper ones (they held better than this) - because they all will break, probably. 1Works great! Really nice extensions - I am using them in a Dewalt 20V impact driver - they are very solid! had a less expensive set that I was using - since the impact driver had a torque rating sufficient to remove lug nuts, I gave it a try - with the inexpensive adapter, the driver twisted it up like a pretzel! The Milwaukee ones, however, worked great and I spun the lug nut right off (not something I normally use my 1/4" impact to do, but I wanted to try it out!) - these extensions are also shorter than other products, which really helps in getting into confined spaces. Definitely recommended! 5Works well...so far I haven't put it through any grueling tests yet, but these work fine so far. Just don't try to remove lug nuts from vehicles with them. Especially if you have a powerful Milwaukee M18 driver behind it. Been there, done that. 5Works like they should I've been breaking adapters left and right with my Milwaukee fuel...but these have held up the best out of several major brands. I will definitely buy again if needed. 5
