    I like it!I didn't but this product on Amazon, but got it from a local ham dealer. I have owned other mag-mount antennas and I think the magnet is very strong! Had to use two hands a couple times. Nice long cable that goes nicely down the vertical edge of my back door. RX/TX performance is pretty good. I can hit a repeater located at 4000' 41 miles SW of me with my HT using 2w with no trouble. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that I brought a new Ford F-150, trading in my Expedition. It was silent on top of the Expedition, but on the pickup it has a harmonic whistle that varied with speed.Kind of odd. I just wrapped up the coil with electrical tape and no more whistle! Did not lose any performance either. MFJ might consider capping the coil in future releases. 4Impressive range despite it's rinky dink sizeThis antenna doesn't look high quality but it works. It's tuned for 144-148MHz but I received my local PD on 155.790, over 75 miles from home, It far exceeded the scanner antenna for all bands. 4Can t go wrong with MFJIt s not a $180 Coment, but MFJ is always worth the money. Mounted it temporally on the back of the Lexus and can work any repeater I can hear. Well with the money! 5A great mobile VHF/UHF antennaPros:-The magnet is crazy strong; it's difficult to remove the base if the mast is not on there.-Performance is on-par with expectations-It looks great on the trunk of my Taurus; not too big, not too small-Stores easily in the trunk; remove the whip and mag-mount the base under the trunk lidCons:-The whip moves around considerable at highway speeds. While I have not noticed RF performance issues, it feels like the wind will put a permanent bend in the whip-I installed this is a 2013 Taurus; the cable needed a 6' extender to make it all the way to my radio mounted below the steering column 4Was Not Happy with the ProductI don't really like this product. For the money I don't think it is well made. The mag mount is not that strong and the coax is difficult to fit in doors and/or windows. 2
