It does seem to count the frequency properly but now I don't feel like I can trust the SWR readings either After a few months of use the power reading started giving bogus readings. I was using it to test some handheld radios and I got suspicious when every one had exactly the same power output. I tried changing from 1 watt to 5 watts to 8 watts and they all gave the same reading. It does seem to count the frequency properly but now I don't feel like I can trust the SWR readings either. Save your money and get a MFJ. They cost a lot more but are much more durable and reliable. 2Not a Bird No, it's not a Bird but it does the job very inexpensively. Yes it does have N connectors but comes with adapters to SO-239. Internal batteries charge by USB. Very intuitive and good thing, the instructions are fairly minimal. It shows power out, power reflected, SWR, AND has a frequency counter. It has a solid metal case (not drop tested!), covers 100-520 mHz and can handle 100 watts.I have a RigExpert AA30 which is awesome for HF but I was too cheap to buy the AA170 or higher. The SureCom does the trick for my VHF/UHF needs which is to check SWR on a couple of antennas and I am building a 2m quad so will need it for that as well. The only down sides to this little meter is it does not do an SWR curve or have software to plot one but those are only minor issues. So get one of these meters and some graph paper, plot your curve old school.Over all very satisfied with this meter 5helps protect my transmitter A great radio saver. I have to make sure I don't destroy my transmitter after burning many through the years. So, with this little gem I know if my SWR is in the range I need it to be in. It caught a bad antenna that showed SWR of 3:1 which would have had bad signal out and risk of burning up my transmitter after regular use. Now with new antenna it's 1.2:1 and I'm feeling much better. 5Outstanding SWR and Power meter Wow. I got this SWR meter for my HAM radio system, and it does an amazing job. It is worth every penny (I paid less than $50 include shipping). It has VSWR reading as well as extra reading such as forwarding power, reversed power, and percentage of forwarding power. It EVEN has a frequency counter which is very useful determine if your radio modulation is correct. All these features in one jam packed unit which is easy to use. I had to get a couple adapters such as N/PL/SMA connectors to test out my radios and antennas. Lots of fun. A great way to maximize your radio systems. The unit is also solidly build with strong metal casing. Probably the best radio SWR/Power/Frequncy meter on the market at a low price. 5amazing I did not buy it sooner This little bugger works perfectly, amazing I did not buy it sooner. Showed I had a serious SWR issue because my antenna is tuned 10MHz off.. Even shows transmit frequency. One issue as noted in the user manual: the power meter reading is only accurate when you connect a 50 Ohms terminator, not when transmitting through an antenna. 5Works fine in Marine VHF band Surprisinglysolid and well made. I got very reasonable power, VSWR, and frequency measurements in the Marine VHF band 156-162 MHz. The frequency counter function provided the expected xmit frequency within .001 MHz, the resolution of the device. VSWR into a dummy load and a known good antenna were near 1:1. A known poor antenna measured 19:1. All as expected. Not a precision shop instrument but great for the money and adequate to verify good transmitter and antenna function. 5nope previous review deleted. why??? item calibration off indicating wrong values. returned item. seller not concerned about item quality or if it even works, they were only concerned about me changing negative feedback. 1Does Not Work On The 220Mhz Ham Band As Claimed.....(125Mhz - 525Mhz). I ordered this meter because of the great reviews, good price and advertised wide frequency coverage. But clearly the advertised frequency coverage is very misleading. It does not even come close to being accurate on the 220Mhz ham radio band, the wattage and swr readings are way off. It claims coverage of 125 - 525Mhz, that's simply not true! The only reading that was accurate on the 220Mhz FM band was the transmit frequency read out, that's all. I will say that it was spot on in the 144 - 148Mhz and 440 - 450Mhz FM ham radio bands. It worked great on those bands but this meter does not serve my needs because I needed a meter that has coverage on the 220Mhz band, this one won't do it! I would have given it 5 stars but only gave it 2 stars because of the bogus, misleading frequency coverage. I will likely be returning it for a refund. 2Digital swr/power meter This meter is great, build quality is very strong. As far as alignment,(frequency accuracy) out of the box is close to perfect, only 000.001 mhz off, but u can correct it in the menu, great tool for the price 5Small easy to use. Stays charged, and can recharge via usb micro. Small and easy to use even though the directions are very grammatically incorrect due to getting lost in translation. Seems to be good quality. I did not have to change the frequency offset as it showed the exact frequency my radio did up to all three decimal places. Comes with adapters needed to connect to my VHF/UHF set. Rechargeable battery has not run down yet and I have tested my set twice. I had to send my antenna in for repairs so I tested it again after i got it back. 5
