Customer Reviews

... different brands of CD-R and some are variable - good one time then a lot of un-burnable pucks in ... I've used many different brands of CD-R and some are variable - good one time then a lot of un-burnable pucks in other batches. Maxell seems to be consistently good. 5Recorded Music Will Not Read Poor quality. Cannot get half of them to play on any of my players. Bought Sony and never had this problem. 1Unreadable results, very poor quality I burned 3 disks, and none of them were readable after creation. Tried slower burning speed, and alternative file-formats and changing file-name/structure to make everything simpler. After wasting 2 hours and going through 14 CDs, none of the results were reliably operational in 2 different CD players. Some showed the directory but then would not play MP3 files, some were simply "Unrecognized Format".I changed to Memorex CD I bought at Staples, and using the fastest speed and original file-names/structure for files, every CD was perfect.Same burner, same settings, same two CD players. It seems Memorex is using defective coatings. 1Maxell use to dominate the recording industry....... This is tough because I've had a lot of respect for Maxell over the years.I even defended Maxell CDs and told my wife her computer and burner must be malfunctioning because Maxell is high quality and would never cause a problem.I burned music to the first four discs in a 50 pack and none of them played in my car CD player. All I got were ERROR messeges. One disc began to play then stopped and an ERROR messege appeared. Just for kicks, I tried burning again to one of the discs. My wife's burner recognized it as a "blank" disc and tried to burn again. Still, it would not play in a CD player.Frustrating and very puzzling at the same time.Maxell use to dominate the recording industry and you could never go wrong with their products. They were top of the line in recording tape quality - reel to reel, cassette, etc..... Guess it's different with CD's.Maxell just could not transfer their superb quality "analog" standard over to "digital". What a SHAME and major disappointment..Returning two 50 pack CDs to Amazon.Had to give one star in order to submit this review. Pitiful. 1Great Quality! Exactly what I was wanting,so far haven't had any problems at all! Great sound playback, had another brand (name escapes me),but the quality was not nearly has good. So I have no problem in buying these again. Thank You 5They work in my car! Woot! I got these because, a couple weeks prior I had gotten the rewritable disks and they didn't work in my car... so I got these hoping they would, and they do... so yay! They're great.. they fit allot of music on them... especially if you change the settings to have 1 second pause between songs, or no pause at all... :) also being able to write on the disk is nice. I wrote notes on them to remember which tracks are my favorite. ^_^ 5I purchased some disc's locally and they worked just fine so it was not my burner I bought these to record music on for my car the first one would not play back so I picked two more blank disc's from different depths of the stack and they would not play back either. I purchased some disc's locally and they worked just fine so it was not my burner. My refund is still pending. 1Cheap and Reliable! They are blank CD's that work perfectly at a reasonable... what's more to say than that? I burned some music from my computer onto these CD's and use them in my car. Works perfectly! 5These Work Great EVERYTIME These are great cd's, I have never had a bad one in the whole container, which I have bought several of. When you get great results with a certain brand, you stick with it. The price is great on these to. I see lower priced ones, but not a name I know, so I will stick with what works for me! I have music on these cd's that are very old and they still play great every time. I used to make back-ups copies , don't have to do that with the Maxell, I fully trust they will work each and every time. 5Good quality These are great, reliable and what I always order. Never had a dud in the batch. I have yet to find good slim cases in bulk to put the CD's in. Got a set from Memorex here on Amazon, expecting the same quality but they are cheap and flimsy. So that is the only drawback to buying these loose, is finding what you want to put them in. Very happy otherwise . 5
